The 47th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards on April 1, 2012 brought out some of the biggest names in country music and lots of glitz and glamour too as the stars walked the ACM red carpet!
Carrie Underwood, Sara Evans and Caroline Bryan (wife of singer Luke Bryan) reminded us that the days of Angelina Jolie'ing and the right-legged meme are thankfully not over.
Taylor Swift looked mature beyond her years whilst others traded Nashville glitz in favour of Hollywood sophistication.

The triple nominee wowed in a white J. Mendel column dress with cut-outs and metallic detail. Lorraine Schwartz jewels and Christian Louboutin ‘Summerissima’ criss-cross platform sandals accessorized her look. She looked outstanding wearing a J. Mendel Fall 2012 dress. The dual 29-year old Female Vocalist nominee stunned in a custom strapless embellished Abed Mahfouz gown with Oscar de la Renta silver peep-toe pumps and Johnathon Arndt jewels. She looked lovely wearing an Abed Mahfouz strapless gown with embellished details and a thigh-high split. Diamond jewellery and Oscar de la Renta silver peep-toe platform pumps accessorized the look. Beauty-wise she opted for large curls, dark eye makeup, and a shimmering coral lip colour
During the show, “Good Girl” Carrie turned up the country heat wearing a cool sequin-embellished pink and purple ombré fringed dress with a matching black cape by KYMERAH.

Blake Shelton's multiple nominee wife the current golden girl in country music dazzled in a gold Randi Rahm halter with matching platform pumps and stunning Fred Leighton jewels. A golden girl needs golden jewels. Fred Leighton’s cascading diamond chandelier earrings and spectacular a diamond swallow cuff accessorized her look perfectly.

Lambert was practically a golden girl in her gold gown by Randi Rahm. The halter-neck metallic dress showed off her voluptuous figure faultlessly! The 2 time ACM 2012 winning lady wore three different dresses to this year’s awards! She changed out of her floor-length gold, Grecian look and slipped into a sexy black corset with a ruffly black skirt for her live performance. The Sugarland power-house lady opted for a custom watermelon-coloured Max Azria Atelier gown with a bright yellow glittery belt and Kimberly McDonald earrings. The bodice of the singer's gown had very subtle cut-outs with a lace overlay. A red Edie Parker clutch and ruby earrings accessorized her look.
