Performing Arts Centre, Alton College, Alton Hants. Featuring Award winning Billy Yates from Nashville, Pete Kennedy from Ireland, Beau Fuller from Nashville, and from
the UK Gary Quinn. Tickets only £10 see poster for details.

Taylor Swift (ft. Gary
Lightbody) ‘The Last Time’ is now off the BBC Radio 1 Playlist (13/11/13)
Kacey Musgraves "Follow
Your Arrow" and Taylor Swift ft. Gary Lightbody "The Last Time"
leave the BBC
Radio 2 "B" playlist but it sees The Band Perry's "Don't
Let Me Be Lonely" added to the "C" playlist for the week
commencing 16 November 2013.
Being promoted to America as a country radio release is "Loving You"
the latest single from UK X-Factor winner, Matt
Cardle, and Melanie C, also
known as Sporty Spice from the Spice Girls. Matt and Melanie met at a UK music
festival last year, and Matt was always a fan of her voice, so he re-arranged
"Loving You" to make it a duet.
The steamy music video for >> "Loving
You" quickly gathered over 1.3 Million views on YouTube
in just a few weeks. In addition the passionate interaction between Matt and
Melanie on and off camera has been getting lots of tabloid and blog attention. It’s
the first single from Matt’s third album PORCELAIN (Absolute Records) which dropped
28 October 2013. The unlikely couple blends together surprisingly well on a
romantic fusion of acoustic blues and country-pop. The song premiered on The
Ken Bruce Show on BBC Radio 2 earlier in the year on 2 July 2013. The record
charted #8 on the iTunes UK chart, and #14 on the Top 100 UK chart. It was
released on 18 August 2013 and is available for download at Amazon UK , UK iTunes and Amazon.com

SINGLE / ALBUM NEWS
With Sugarland on Hiatus so the stars could take some personal time to
work on their own projects, front woman Jennifer
Nettles is set to debut her solo album THAT GIRL on January 14, 2014. The album features
11 tracks, 10 written/co-written by the CMA-Winning songwriter
("Stay") herself. The lone 'outside' song? A cover of Bob Seger's
"Like A Rock," a song she felt compelled to record as she's the same
age now that he was when he wrote and recorded the longtime Chevy Trucks theme
song. Jennifer worked with Rick Rubin at
his famed Shangra-La Studios in Los Angeles to record the project. The title
track and lead single "That Girl" is currently Top 40 and rising. “I started writing
this album three years ago,” shares Nettles. “I put no conscious guides or governors on
the creation of this album other than to write songs that I want to sing.
Working with Rick Rubin was a dream come true and the result is an album that
plays to my roots – country, 70’s radio, gospel and singer songwriter.” -
Garth Brooks recently announced the release of a Limited Edition
new Box Set, an exclusive at Walmart for just $24.96. At an inflated
price of £39.99 its being made

- The Tennessean : Peter Cooper On Music: Country music’s new rules…….Extract: I am mandating a two-year — no, make that three-year — ban on writing or recording songs about partying in fields and/or congregating in, on or around pickup trucks. Anyone who enjoys these songs has plenty of them around to hear for the next 36 months. Songwriters who attempt to defy this ban will be forced to sit in a small, enclosed space with Kris Kristofferson and Guy Clark while Kris and Guy recite their lyrics aloud and make groaning noises. Performers who break this rule will be excommunicated from “country” music and made to work in a newly created genre, “Goober Rock.” After three years, everyone can go back to the 2013 norm, but I have a feeling they won’t.

EW CMA Awards breakout Kacey Musgraves talks Taylor, Dolly, and singing about weed.....Extract:
Blake Shelton may have won Album of the Year at this year’s CMA Awards, and
George Strait may have taken home Entertainer of the Year honors. But who shot
to No.1 on the iTunes country albums chart (and No. 3 on the all-genre
rankings) the next morning? That would be Kacey Musgraves, the 25-year-old
Texas native who won Best New Artist and performed her much-discussed (and

>> “Follow
Your Arrow.” ….
The Kansas City Star: Country singer Chely Wright sees glimmers of light in
battle for gay rights......Extract: Kacey
Musgraves has made some waves for her song “Follow Your Arrow,” which was
co-written with Shane McAnally, an openly gay Nashville songwriter. Do you sense that there is a shift in
country music when it comes to gay rights? I haven’t heard the song, but
people tweet about it and I glean from those that it’s very pro-gay. I’ve known
Shane for a long time — he’s a very successful songwriter, so you can’t deny
that some progress is being made. What’s as important is Kacey is a straight
gal talking about equality, and we really need our straight allies to be part
of the movement. All voices matter. I wish more straight allies in country
music would be more public about it. I have friends who are … but they choose
to keep quiet about it rather than say what they believe. And I understand
that. Who wants to lose fans? Who wants to have someone tell you, “I don’t like
you anymore”? So, yes, some progress has been made. There won’t be another
first openly gay music artist or first openly gay hit country songwriter…..

Speaking to Women's Wear Daily, Australian model Jessica Hart said "no" when asked if Taylor could pull off being an
actual Victoria's Secret model. She
continued, "I
think, you know what, God bless her heart. I think she’s great. But, I don’t
know, to me, she didn’t fit. I don’t know if I should say that."

Never Ever Getting Back Together? Pistol
Annies call it quits? In June, the bad-ass threesome abruptly cancelled all
upcoming concerts due to "unforeseen circumstances." Well, according to someone who knows someone, the
Annies are done. Rumor has it, the breakup happened because Randa couldn't get
along with Angaleena's hubby (who happened to be Miranda's tour manager at the
time) Jordan Powell.
Hillary Scott’s growing family appears in front of the camera for the
first time together inside the new issue of People magazine. The Lady Antebellum singer appears alongside husband Chris Tyrrell and
their 3-month-old daughter Eisele Kaye and reveals it’s her drummer hubby who’s
taken over diaper duty.
“He has
changed the majority of poopy diapers in our house,” Hillary says. “The more I’ve
been walking through being a new mom, I see that it’s pretty rare that the
father is so hands-on, so natural and so joyful with it.”
When it comes to the wardrobe over the diaper, Hillary mentions baby
Eisele’s closet is full gifts from famous friends. “Eisele’s
coolest clothes are from Stevie [Nicks], which is so funny. Eisele has no clue
how cool a baby she is!”
Keith Urban appears on the
cover of the new issue of People Country, and he reveals inside what he’s
realized about keeping his marriage to actress Nicole Kidman a healthy one. “Nic and I say,
‘Balance is never achieved; it’s just maintained,’” Keith says. “I’m a guy, so I’m
not used to having to maintain anything. I’m used to achieving something, and –
good, that’s done, move on to the next thing. No, no, this marriage, this
family – it’s a garden. It’s not fixed and then you move on; it’s maintained on
a daily basis. I finally get that now.”

Adele warned Kelly Clarkson
not to have a baby. Clarkeson who is eager to start a family with her
new husband Brandon Blackstock, has revealed the British star advised her not
to get pregnant unless she was ready to take a career break and stay at home. The
31-year-old star told Us Weekly magazine that the 25-year-old Oscar-winning
singer told her at the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles in February: "Girl,
don't have a baby 'cause everything else will go on the back burner. I'm living
in babyland!"
Leann Rimes is getting
broody!: The 31-year-old singer admits she and her husband Eddie Cibrian - who
have been married since 2011 - regularly speak about having a child together
and she'd be over the moon if she could have a daughter.
She said: "I think about it often. We talk about it." Eddie
- who has two sons, Mason, nine, and Jake, six, with his ex-wife Brandi
Glanville - added: "She wants a little girl, badly." However, LeAnn
insists she doesn't want to conceive until she's ended her 20-year deal with
Curb Records next month and worked out her next career step.
Taylor Swift is looking for a
property in London that she can make her permanent base because she
is tired of staying in hotels when she visits the UK capital. The 'Everything
Has Changed' singer is tired of staying in hotels and wants a place of her own
for when she visits the UK capital or comes to Europe. A source told The Sun
newspaper: "Taylor
isn't moving to London permanently but she wants a European base and she
absolutely loves it in Britain. "She's been spending more and more time
here recently and is tired of camping out in hotels. "This way she can
make a place her own and get some proper privacy."
The 22-year-old musician, who is said to be worth over $220 million,
paid $11 million in cash for her mansion in Rhode Island, New England, last
year.
Turns out Taylor Swift won't
be hanging with the royal couple during an upcoming charity event in
London. Kate
Middleton won't be attending, as previously thought, so she'll just
have to settle for meeting Prince William...maybe. Both Taylor and Jon Bon
Jovi, as well as James Blunt, have been tapped to entertain the crowd at the
Winter Whites Gala, a benefit for Centrepoint, which helps homeless young
people. The November 26 event is
being held at Kensington Palace,
where Prince William and Kate live, and when it was announced, the press began
reporting that the Duke and Duchess would be on hand to welcome guests. Those reports were never denied...until now. A
spokesperson for Centrepoint tells the British paper The Express, "Any
mention of the Duchess’s attendance on pre-event correspondence was included in
error. We invited the Duchess and we would have been delighted if she had
[agreed to] come.” And according to the paper, a Kensington Palace spokesman
said: "The
Duchess was never going to attend the Winter Whites Gala, so there is no
question of her changing her mind." All 200 tickets to the event, which cost well
over 500 bucks each, are now sold out.
'Absolutely Not'
Getting a Divorce: Tim McGraw and Faith Hill ended their Las Vegas show
on Friday night the same way they always do: sealed with a kiss. "[Rumors]
seem to be running like crazy right now for some reason. It's perplexing,"
Hill, 46, told PEOPLE when asked about the reports.
"I don't know why 'happy' can't be a story." Hill insists they are
"absolutely
not" splitting.
