Another State have quickly garnered a dedicated following with their unique sound that seamlessly bridges pop and country. Drawing inspiration from genre-blending artists like Post Malone, Taylor Swift, and Beyoncé, they create something truly special, with their very own twist. Their music takes listeners on an emotional journey to all of life’s frontiers:  Through the ups and downs of love and relationships, the thrill of chasing your dreams, and spontaneous late-night adventures with your closest friends. “Ride Or Die” is the third single from the band and follows the debut “All You Need“ (tagged POP; released July 22, 2024) and sophomore POP single “The Only One” (released Aug 23, 2024) and showcases and the more raw and ‘full on’ country rock sound that the band have wholeheartedly embraced. Sean Ryder Wolf knew two things about the track: firstly, that he had written something very different and very special and, secondly, that although he had the melodies but no other lyrics, this song simply had to have the title “Ride Or Die”!

Immediately with having that song title in mind, the band knew the track was going to be a powerhouse of vibrant energy and super fun – or as Ryder Wolf puts it - “an exciting high octane 'night out with your buddies' sort of vibe … full of energy and one you can play loud when you’re driving!”. The band loved collaborating while writing the song, Ryder Wolf claiming “it felt pretty liberating writing a song which had that 'weekend' feeling and had a lot of fun helping come up with lyrics which encompassed both being with your friends, and also having an exciting experience meeting a girl when you're out.”

“Ride Or Die” is a triumph of positivity: an air punching, life-affirming cowboy anthem, and then some! Think of an opener with crashing vibrant guitars, think of rodeos, ‘blackjacks’ and ‘feeling lucky’, out hitting the town, and having the time of your life with your posse. Ryder Wolf says when he originally presented the song to the other members of the band: “I came in and said: ' I think I've come up with something pretty special here’.” Indeed, it came to pass!

Even their name was chosen with thought and feeling, as Ryder Wolf said: “Our name has an American feel but also it represents 'another state of mind'”.

Is a track that speaks to the heart and soul of what it means to find ‘The One’. It’s about that magical moment when you realise you’ve found someone who truly understands and completes you. The sentiment shines through the lyrics and the melody and has universal appeal to those of us who are in love. Sean Ryder Wolf explained his heartfelt inspiration in co-writing the track: “I'm in a relationship and also have children, and that feeling of feeling complete and having love and deep admiration for my partner was at the crux of why ' The Only One' started taking shape.”
