Watson comments:,“These songs of mine… they’ve rung out and sung out so clear and true on stages here at home in America. I can’t wait to hear how they feel on the stages across the sea in Great Britain!”

Bringing his beautiful songs to life, Watson has many years of musical output to draw from. However, the centrepiece of the performances will be Watson’s first-ever solo album of original material which, over 20 years into his career, was released worldwide last month.

The former founding member of Old Crow Medicine Show has been a part of numerous musical projects, soundtracks, and films. Yet this new collection of songs is honest and potent, an unadorned reflection of Watson’s life, his mistakes, his traumas, and his gratitude to still be here, to still be alive, and to still be loved. It's the type of record that can’t come early in one’s career and was won after a life of hard battles and difficult lessons.

PRAISE FOR WILLIE WATSON’S SELF-TITLED ALBUM

“Confessional, masterly… Willie Watson reflects on joy, pain, self-destruction, childhood trauma and, ultimately, personal salvation”  9/10   UNCUT, Americana Album of the Month

“The real charm lies in Watson’s voice… where quiet dignity meets persuasive beauty” 4/5 – MOJO
“Watson owns one of the most distinctive voices in modern Americana; high and melodic, it can also be piercing, plaintive and downright otherworldly” 4/5 – The Observer

“Watson has assembled a superb studio band that has sensitively underpinned his own playing, his affecting voice and songs. ‘Willie Watson’ is such a fine album it’s easy to understand why he’s just stamped it with his own name.”  9/10 – Americana UK
