Morgan Wallen’s ‘I’m the Problem’ Claims Second Week Atop Billboard 200 Chart
It tallies the smallest second-week percentage decline for a No. 1-debuting album in more than a year.

Morgan Wallen’s I’M THE PROBLEM notched a second week at No.1 on the Billboard 200 chart (dated June 7), after debuting in the pole position a week ago with the year’s biggest week for an album. In its second week, I’m the Problem earned 286,000 equivalent album units (in the tracking week ending May 29) in the United States according to Luminate. A week ago, the set arrived at No. 1 with 493,000 units.

With a relatively scant 42% second-week decline in units earned, I’m the Problem tallies the smallest second-week percentage drop for a No. 1-debuting album in more than a year. The last No. 1-debuting set to see a smaller sophomore frame fall, by percentage decline, was 21 Savage’s American Dream on the March 3, 2024-dated chart. It fell 41% in its second week (from 133,000 to 78,000).
Plus, Wallen has three albums in the top 10 at the same time for the first time ever, as I’M THE PROBLEM is joined by his former No. 1s ONE THING AT A TIME (No. 4) and DANGEROUS: THE DOUBLE ALBUM (No. 10).

Of I’m the Problem’s 286,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending May 29, streaming equivalent albums (SEA) units comprised 256,000 (down 28%, equaling 332.89 million on-demand official streams of the set’s songs — it leads Top Streaming Albums for a second week), album sales comprised 28,000 (down 79% — it’s No. 1 on Top Album Sales for a second week) and track equivalent albums (TEA) units comprised 2,000 (down 39%).

Full Throttle Tour” with sold out dates at the Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls, OH (5/23), Budweiser Stage in Toronto, Canada (5/24) and the Broadview Stage at SPAC in Saratoga Springs, NY (5/25), the country music superstar is bringing his hit packed show to CMA Fest this week in Nashville as he closes out Nissan Stadium on the opening night, Thursday, June 5 before heading back out on the road in July.
With this latest accolade, Jason joins an elite class of entertainers who have logged 30+ #1 hits throughout their career like George Strait, Tim McGraw, Ronnie Milsap, Merle Haggard, Alan Jackson, Reba McEntire and Blake Shelton.
“30 #1s is a huge milestone, and I couldn’t let it go by without thanking the fans, country radio, the songwriters, BMG and the best promo team in the business,” says Jason Aldean. “I appreciate all the support we have gotten from everyone over the last 20 years. And, I don’t plan on going anywhere anytime soon; so, I’m working hard on getting this next round of music out and can’t wait to share it soon.”

We at BMG look forward to him shaping the sound of Country music for years to come.”

“‘Easy To Love’ is the Number One Most Added! It’s all gratitude from me and the family. Thank you to Country Radio for the support and to the fans who keep showing up for my music. We had a blast making this one, and it’s awesome to see it hitting home with folks already. Let’s go Summer 2025!” says Dustin Lynch.
Written by Lynch with Ben Johnson, Jon Robert Hall, Hunter Phelps, and Zach Crowell, the autobiographical narrative speaks to Lynch’s life as he confesses that he’s always been good at going alone – but is still looking for more: “I’m still thinkin’ maybe one day I’ll find her / They always say when you know, you know / If I know me, she’ll be my next right turn / But I’ll take a left just to see where it goes.”

BLUEGRASS
Willis, VA (May 30, 2025) - Multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Bryan McDowell returns with “Winter Comin’ On,” the second single from his upcoming solo album.  Out today, the track delivers a chilling and poetic reflection on survival, risk, and resilience.
“Nothing ever prepares you for winter,” McDowell shares. “It comes in the middle of the night and the next morning you're caught there. Nothing brings out the bleak aloneness of a day working and shooting dice like the bare trees and two-toned covered fields. The only important thing in winter is not getting pinned down in the cold, keeping your assets liquid, and keeping everything you care about safe.”
Rooted in the tradition of bluegrass while speaking to contemporary struggles, “Winter Comin’ On” is a striking piece of songwriting that showcases McDowell’s evolving artistic voice. Sparse, deliberate, and emotionally raw, the song leans into lyrical storytelling with a cinematic touch—offering listeners a haunting view of winter’s grip, both literal and metaphorical.
The track features Bryan McDowell on fiddle and lead vocals, joined by Bronwyn Keith-Hynes on second fiddle, Cory Walker on banjo, Jarrod Walker on mandolin, Jake Stargel on guitar, and Jeff Partin on bass and tenor vocals—an ensemble of top-tier players who bring depth and texture to this expressive arrangement.

(27-28 May, 2025) Weekend One In The Kenny-Sphere / Kenny Chesney Welcomes Megan Moroney
To Another Dimension @ Sphere Vegas / Kenny Chesney Lands at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Artists of the 21st Century

For a man who can’t stay in one place very long,
Kenny Chesney is creating an even deeper sense of what one of America’s best loved collection of songs means with each night of his residency at Sphere Las Vegas. Even with the high intensity visual media, the intensely dialed in sound and an intimacy afforded by the immersive venue configuration, what stands out more than anything is the unwavering connection between the high energy East Tennessee born artist and No Shoes Nation.
Early in the show on Sunday night, Chesney stood at his mic and confessed, “I rarely take requests, but there are some people here from the islands… and they said, ‘We’ve heard all the hits, now play us something from the heart.’ Regaling the capacity crowd with the story of how life becomes art, he went completely off-script to deliver a tender take on “Old Blue Chair,” the semi-title track from Be as You Are: Songs from an Old Blue Chair.

After Kelsea Ballerini dropped in on opening night, Grace Potter arrived for the weekend and a sultry take on the double GRAMMY-nominated “You & Tequila.” Dressed in thigh high vintage Ann Klein boots of many colors panels, she embodied the rock & roll spirit expected from the fiery roots songstress. “It’s not often our circles converge anymore,” Chesney says of the woman recently profiled in The New York Times, “because she has a life of her own, but when it does, it’s magical.”

Beyond debuting Megan Moroney’s postcards from No Shoes Nation “You Had To Be There,” which captures her journey from cheap seats to stadium opener, Moroney played her Top 5 smash “Am I Okay?,” which she performed with Chesney’s blazing hot band at Gillette Stadium. The pair reprised their romping “All The Pretty Girls,” plus Moroney’s return-to-the-set-list fave “She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy.”
“No one has more fun onstage than Megan Moroney,” Chesney enthused after the pair’s high velocity duets. “She doesn’t just radiate joy up there, she makes everybody want to experience the amount of fun she is clearly having. Even I want to – and don’t always – maintain that level of feeling good. She just brings it.”

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Kenny Chesney woke up to some very outrageous news. With a landmark opening week at Sphere in Las Vegas, where he became the first country act to headline, the news broke that the soft-spoken songwriter/superstar was named Billboard’s Top Country Artist of the 21st Century. Recognizing his imprint on the genre across both singles and the larger perspective of his albums, the honor comes on the heels of being a 2025 Country Music Hall of Fame Electee, alongside June Carter Cash and producer/executive Tony Brown.
With 33 Billboard No. 1 Country Airplay songs, more than anyone since the chart’s inception, nine all-genre Billboard 200 Albums, as well as all 17 of his 21st century albums topping their Country Albums chart, Chesney’s music has been an indelible part of what country music can contain. Enlisting duet partners Willie Nelson, Dave Matthews, Grace Potter, the Wailers, P!nk and Uncle Kracker on major hits, as well as Mindy Smith, Ziggy Marley, Jimmy Buffett, George Jones and Joe Walsh, Chesney’s country is an expansive place.

(27 May 2025) The Wood Brothers have shared “Pray God Listens” (listen/watch/share), the second single (and its official lyric video) to be released in advance of the band’s forthcoming album, PUFF OF SMOKE, due August 1 on Honey Jar Records/Thirty Tigers. The song is a tongue-in-cheek observation on the concept of “God" that's built upon a buoyant Cachito/Cuban-inspired groove.
Oliver Wood explains: "'Pray God Listens,' is a bit humorous and cynical, but ultimately it’s a song of compassion and humility. It’s meant to be light, but it’s ambiguous enough that you can draw your own conclusion. You can take the cynicism part and the humor, or you can go a little deeper and find the compassion.”
One year shy of their 20th anniversary, The Wood Brothers—the Grammy Award-nominated trio comprised by brothers Oliver and Chris Wood and Jano Rix—continue to evolve via a pure and relentless creative spirit. Through the near two decades spent together in the studio and on the road, the band has honed their interconnected, singular voice to telepathic proportions. On Puff Of Smoke, their ninth studio album to date, the songs weave a medley of musical ideas — ranging from Latin-inflected acoustic guitar lines, to driving post-jazz rhythms, to infectious sing-along choruses — resulting in a cohesive, joyful whole. All with The Wood Brothers' trademark turns of phrase and lighthearted, but subversively profound wisdom at the core.
(28 May 2025) 16x ACM, 9x CMA and Grammy Award-winning artist Lainey Wilson has announced that the new deluxe version of her award-winning album, WHIRLWIND, which will be released August 22nd via BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville in celebration of the record’s one-year anniversary.
In addition to Whirlwind’s original 14 songs, the extended edition will feature five additional tracks: Wilson's brand new single “Somewhere Over Laredo”, “Bell Bottoms Up”, “King Ranch, King George, King James”, “Yesterday, All Day, Every Day” and “Peace, Love and Cowboys”.

(28 May 2025) The Malpass Brothers Mark 20th Year of Entertaining, Touring, Recording Hit TV Show, New Documentary, and Grand Ole Opry Performances, all tributes to lessons learned from Merle Haggard
When it comes to keeping busy, The Malpass Brothers’ break-neck pace might leave some fellow artists breathless. That hard-charging work ethic is all they know, instilled in them by their parents, and cemented by Country Music legend, longtime friend and former employer Merle Haggard.
“We’ve been doing this so long, you’d think we would’ve improved,” Chris Malpass jokes.
“Merle had lived such an insane life,” Taylor Malpass explains of Haggard’s difficult, but meteoric rise to superstardom. “To come from where he came from, to getting into trouble, to making something of himself.”
The Brothers marvel at how discovering music took Haggard from being a California prison inmate, to country music stardom, to – now legendary status, both as an artist and a prolific, poetic songwriter.
Chris and Taylor toured with Haggard – as members of his band – for 7 years, and that experience left an indelible mark on them, both personally and professionally.

(30 May 2025) Allie Colleen, recognized for her unforgettable voice and powerful gift for songwriting, has released her first single for the year, “Mahogany Teakwood.” The very intimate and personal song was self-penned by Allie Colleen and produced, mixed and engineered by Dave Pahanish in Nashville with Sol Philcox Littlefield adding his special touch on acoustic guitar. Allie shared, “It is always scary and exciting putting a new song out and taking on a story that feels so personal to represent. I wrote this one by myself one night in the thick of it, and it is very, very scary for me to allow anyone into this world. I am still very much healing from this heartbreak, and it’s always hard to give voice to something so raw while you’re still in the process of mending. "Mahogany Teakwood" is available on all digital platforms now HERE.

(30 May 2025) Multi-Platinum recording artist Dylan Scott enters a new creative chapter with
total confidence as his third studio album
EASY DOES IT releases. The 11-track collection spans themes of heartbreak, committed love and nods to the small town that raised him. The Tennessean praised the album, stating, “Whether backed by a band or accompanied by musicians playing as soft as a whisper, Scott's gruff baritone, one of his most prominent artistic selling points, takes center stage.”
“I feel like I’m in the best stage of life so far, and this album reflects that for me,” Scott describes. “I don’t know if that’s because of my kids or being married as long as I have, or if it’s just getting into my 30s, but I don’t stress. I don’t worry like I used to – we just go to work. As crazy as it sounds, I’m in that 'Easy Does It' phase of life.”. POSITIVE Review EF Country REVIEW

(30 May 2025) GIRLS RULE: The second track from Daves Highway waterfall series, "Good Luck Girl" (writers Delaney Daves, Erika Daves, Ryan Rossebo, Zachary Daves) sets the landscape as an early introduction to the band's fifth album, IF YOU ASKED ME, featuring five original tunes and the trio’s interpretation of Martina McBride’s iconic hit ballad “Anyway” anticipated in August 2025.
The feel-good melody supports the bubbly fair warning to the ex-boyfriend's new girlfriend. The pep talk from "someone who's been there" red flags trouble on the horizon as chivalry fades and the tornado forms. The ebb and flow swell of orchestral and rock instrumentals fuel the "I told you so" notice. Listen to Good Luck Girl HERE

(May 30, 2025) Dustin Lynch ain’t “Easy To Love.” Flipping the title of his brand-new single in an unexpected way, the MULTI-PLATINUM star is the first to admit he’s stubborn, restless, and tough to pin down when it comes to matters of the heart. Listen to the chill summer jam here.
Written by
Lynch with Ben Johnson ,Jon Robert Hall, Hunter Phelps, and Zach Crowell, the autobiographical narrative speaks to Lynch’s life on the run as he confesses that he’s always been good at going alone – but is still looking for more: “I’m still thinkin’ maybe one day I’ll find her / They always say when you know, you know / If I know me, she’ll be my next right turn / But I’ll take a left just to see where it goes.”
The adjoining music video further speaks to the track’s blue-skied optimism as a visual love letter to Key West. Filmed under director Jack Owens, the Florida footage captures Lynch ready for every opportunity that comes his way.

Opening with flugelhorn, flute and piano, the easygoing track serves a metaphor for that rare feeling of inner peace, recognsing a moment when fear, stress, chaos and confusion subsideCarll sings, “I have chased a feeling all these years / Blocked by insecurities and fears / Oh it feels so good as that all disappears / I have chased this feeling all these years.” It is a reminder to stop, breathe and savor that state of mind when it arrives. (30 May 2025) Nashville-via-Sydney singer-songwriter Imogen Clark is getting high octane and back to the nitty gritty with her new album ‘CHOKING ON FUEL’. After a breakneck year of non-stop touring, returning to her roots armed with an acoustic guitar, Imogen is rolling out a record that captures the intensity, vulnerability, musical dexterity and vocal power that characterizes her compelling live performances.
“I spent last year on the road around the world, playing headline shows but also touring with Robyn Hitchcock, Steve Poltz, BOWEN * YOUNG and Andrew Farriss” ,
Imogen explains. “So many people have messaged me or commented on my social media to say that they would love to have an album that captured the spirit of what I do live, and that’s what this is”.

The album puts Imogen’s rich, devastating vocals front and center, foregrounding her deft, cutting lyrics and affecting melodies. The record runs the emotional gamut from the wry, incendiary All Hard Feelings (with 70s style backing vocals from co-writers Sinead Burgess and Blake O’Connor, who also tears up a blistering slide guitar solo).
An unexpected bookend closing note comes with a radical reinterpretation of the classic Sheryl Crow / Jeff Trott anthem ‘If It Makes You Happy’, reimagined as a vulnerable duet with Imogen’s tourmate and Americana UK Live Act of the Year Kezia Gill. Aussie fans will expect to see it on the setlist when Imogen and Kezia head down under for a co-headline tour in October.
“I’ve gotten to know and write with Jeff Trott since I’ve been living in Nashville,” Imogen explains.“ After hearing him explain how he began writing this song late one night on the piano, it sparked the idea of approaching the song from that point of view. Having Kez sing it with me added so much extra magic to this version of one of my all-time favorite songs”.

REVIEWS
(30 May 2025) Review: Morgan Wallen was at the top of his game at The Roundhouse in London…………..Love him or hate him, Wallen is going nowhere and it’s a long time since I’ve been to a gig where it felt like the audience was completely lost in the performer. The fans knew every single word, Wallen at times looked overwhelmed by the reaction he was getting and there was a sense of family that’s rarely present at shows anymore. Whatever it is Wallen has, his fans can’t get enough of it and with even bigger things in the pipeline for the UK in 2026, it looks like Wallen’s star is going to continue to rise. Tonight’s performance proved that he’s at the top of his game right now and he’s showing no signs of slowing down any time soon.  5 STARS EF Country by Pip Ellwood-Hughes.
