(30 May 2025) Cambridge based acoustic duo Tennessee Twin playing original modern country music released
new single “Waiting Tables” (written
by Geoffrey Robert Meads, Victoria Meads) Recorded at Fireball Studios in Newmarket
& Chris Brush Studios in Nashville. Song Credits: Victoria Meads – vocals, keyboards & percussion, Geoff
Meads – vocals, guitars & banjitar, Tim Slater - guitar & banjo, Charles Landymore - bass guitar, Chris
Brush - drums.
Written back in 2020 for the 'Songs & Stories Collective' live
sessions, 'Waiting Tables' is a song that tells stories of the numerous
customers (all of an ‘interesting’ nature…) of a diner, as seen through the
eyes of a waitress. From gold-diggers to sports teams, and even illicit affairs
- it’s all there! It's described as “an upbeat and summery song with full band
production, perfect as the backdrop for summer parties”!
The track features regular Tennessee Twin lead guitarist Tim Slater,
alongside Charles Landymore on bass, plus Nashville based Chris Brush on drums.
Tennessee Twin’s Victoria takes lead vocals and keyboards while Geoff takes on
guitars, banjitar and vocals.
While the song was originally only intended as an album track on the
duo's recent CD release 'Shifting Sands', many fans requested it be released on
streaming services so they could add it to their playlists. Listen to “Waiting

Morgan
Wallen’s ‘I’m the Problem’ Claims Second Week Atop Billboard 200 Chart
It tallies the smallest second-week percentage decline for a No.
1-debuting album in more than a year.
Morgan Wallen’s I’M
THE PROBLEM notched a second week at No.1 on the Billboard
200 chart (dated June 7), after debuting in the pole position a week ago
with the year’s biggest week for an album. In its second week, I’m the Problem
earned 286,000 equivalent album units (in the
tracking week ending May 29) in the United States according to Luminate. A week
ago, the set arrived at No. 1 with 493,000 units.
With a relatively scant 42% second-week decline in units earned, I’m the
Problem tallies the smallest second-week percentage drop for a No. 1-debuting
album in more than a year. The last No. 1-debuting set to see a smaller
sophomore frame fall, by percentage decline, was 21 Savage’s American Dream on
the March 3, 2024-dated chart. It fell 41% in its second week (from 133,000 to
78,000). Plus, Wallen has three albums in the top 10 at the same time for the
first time ever, as I’M THE PROBLEM is joined by his former No. 1s ONE
THING AT A TIME (No. 4) and DANGEROUS: THE DOUBLE
ALBUM (No. 10).
Of I’m the Problem’s 286,000 equivalent album units earned in the week
ending May 29, streaming equivalent albums (SEA) units comprised 256,000 (down
28%, equaling 332.89 million on-demand official streams of the set’s songs — it
leads Top Streaming Albums for a second week), album sales comprised 28,000
(down
79% — it’s No. 1 on Top Album Sales for a second week) and track equivalent
albums (TEA) units comprised 2,000 (down 39%).
Billboard Hot 100 News
Alex Warren’s “Ordinary” ascended to No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming the singer-songwriter’s first leader on the list. It rises
from No. 4, after reaching a previous No. 2 best.
Morgan
Wallen’s “What
I Want,” featuring Tate McRae, dipped to No.2 on the Hot 100, a week after it soared in as
Wallen’s fourth No. 1 and McRae’s first. It claimed a second week atop the
multimetric Hot Country Songs chart. Wallen follows on the Hot 100 with the No.
2-peaking “Just in Case” (2-3) and “I’m the Problem” (3-4), as I’m the Problem,
the parent set of all three songs, secures a second week at No. 1 on the
Billboard 200.
Shaboozey’s “A Bar
Song (Tipsy)” rebounded 9-6 on the
Hot 100, following its record-tying 19 weeks at No. 1 beginning last July.
Billboard’s
Country Airplay Chart News
BIGGER ‘PROBLEM’: Morgan Wallen’s “I’m
the Problem” (Mercury/Republic/Big Loud) topped Country
Airplay for a seventh total and consecutive week (29.8 million, down 6%). The
third No.1 and title track from Wallen’s new album — which launched atop the
Billboard 200 and Top Country Albums (May 31) with 2025’s biggest week by
equivalent album units (493,000 in the United States) — is the third of his 17
Country Airplay leaders to rule for seven weeks or more, following “You Proof”
(as noted above) and “Last Night” (eight weeks, 2023). “I’m the Problem” solely
claims the year’s longest No. 1 run on Country Airplay, surpassing the six-week
command for Jelly Roll’s “Liar” in FebruaryMarch. Wallen’s latest leader and
Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” (seven weeks, August-September 2024) share the
longest reigns since Nate Smith’s “World on Fire”.
Nate Smith’s “Fix
What You Didn’t Break” (RCA Nashville) rose two spots to No.
9 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart (dated June 7). The single advanced
by 6% to 17.1 million audience impressions May 23-29, according to Luminate.
Smith co-authored the song with Ashley Gorley, Taylor Phillips and Lindsay
Rimes, the lattermost of whom also produced it. It’s from Smith’s album
California Gold, which arrived at its No.12 high on Top Country Albums last
October. Smith earns his fourth Country Airplay top10.
It follows “Bulletproof,” which hit No. 3 last August. The Paradise,
Calif., native’s first of four entries, “Whiskey on You,” notched two weeks at
No. 1 in February 2023, followed by “World on Fire,” which dominated for 10
frames beginning in December 2023.
Billboard’s
Country Chart News
No.3 Lainey Wilson “Somewhere
Over Laredo”: Wilson’s single sold 3,000
May 23-29,
according to Luminate, and arrived at No.3 on Country Digital Song Sales. The ballad,
which is also new at No.21 on Country Airplay (7.6 million in reach),
borrows from “Over the Rainbow” and includes writer credits for Harold Arlen
and Yip Harburg, who co-penned the classic original.
No.5 Steeldrivers OUTRUN: The
venerable Nashville-based band adds its seventh top 10 on Bluegrass
Albums as OUTRUN entered at No.5. Released May 23, it earned
1,000
equivalent album units in the United States in its opening week.
Concurrently, the group’s 2008 self-titled LP spends an 89th frame on the list
(No 3; 1,000 units, up 8%).
No.12 Megan Moroney “Am
I Okay?”: In its 46th week on Hot Country Songs, the single that the Savannah,
Ga., native co-wrote rebounded to its No.12 high, with
7.5 million official U.S. streams and 1,000 sold. On
Country Airplay, it ranks at No. 5 (20.2 million, up 1%). Moroney
will perform during CMA Fest at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium on June 5.

radio, the songwriters, BMG and the best promo team in the business,” says Jason Aldean. “I appreciate all the support we have
gotten from everyone over the last 20 years. And, I don’t plan on going
anywhere anytime soon; so, I’m working hard on getting this next round of music
out and can’t wait to share it soon.”
“I always say icons come
from the fringes and Jason Aldean exemplifies that without question,” says Jon Loba, President, Frontline Recordings, BMG Americas. “When
many questioned his music early on, he was uncompromising and in the process,
added an entirely new sound to the genre that many tried to chase, but none
could replicate. He
registers his 30th #1, while continuing to sell out arenas and amphitheaters.
We at BMG look forward to him shaping the sound of Country music for years to
come.”
Dustin Lynch’s “Easy To Love” Is The Most Added
The Broken Bow team is also responsible for this week’s
Most Added record, Dustin Lynch’s “Easy To
Love,” with 74. Following last week’s Most
Added by labelmate Lainey Wilson, these are the first back-to-back Most Addeds
for the label since March 2019, when Lynch’s “Ridin’ Roads” succeeded Aldean’s
“Rearview Town.”
“‘Easy To Love’ is the Number One Most Added! It’s all
gratitude from me and the family. Thank you to Country Radio for the support
and to the fans who keep showing up for my music. We had a blast making this
one, and it’s awesome to see it hitting home with folks already. Let’s go
Summer 2025!” says Dustin Lynch.
Written by Lynch with Ben Johnson, Jon
Robert Hall, Hunter Phelps, and Zach Crowell, the
autobiographical narrative speaks to Lynch’s life as he confesses that he’s
always been good at going alone – but is still looking for more: “I’m still
thinkin’ maybe one day I’ll find her / They always say when you know, you know
/ If I know me, she’ll be my next right turn / But I’ll take a left just to see
where it goes.”

vulnerable side of the multi-platinum star.”- Entertainment

(28 May 2025) Blake Shelton addressed
online criticism of his and Gwen Stefani's American Music Awards

“Hollaback Girl” before her recent single, “Swallow My Tears.”
Some fans discussed on social media that the performances
seemed to have been pre-taped. "Just now seeing these stories about

BLUEGRASS
Willis, VA (May 30, 2025) -
Multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Bryan
McDowell returns with “Winter
Comin’ On,” the second single from his upcoming solo album. Out
today, the track delivers a chilling and poetic reflection on survival, risk,
and resilience.
“Nothing ever prepares you for winter,” McDowell shares. “It comes in the
middle of the night and the next morning you're caught there. Nothing brings
out the bleak aloneness of a day working and shooting dice like the bare trees
and two-toned covered fields. The only important thing in winter is not getting
pinned down in the cold, keeping your assets liquid, and keeping everything you
care about safe.”
Rooted in the tradition of
bluegrass while speaking to contemporary struggles, “Winter Comin’ On” is a
striking piece of songwriting that showcases McDowell’s evolving artistic
voice. Sparse, deliberate, and emotionally raw, the song leans into lyrical storytelling
with a cinematic touch—offering listeners a haunting view of winter’s grip,
both literal and metaphorical.
The track features Bryan McDowell on fiddle and lead vocals,
joined by Bronwyn Keith-Hynes on second fiddle, Cory
Walker on banjo, Jarrod Walker on mandolin, Jake
Stargel on guitar, and Jeff Partin on bass and tenor
vocals—an ensemble of top-tier players who bring depth and texture to this
expressive arrangement.

Martin’s lyrics on the track
tell a story familiar to all touring musicians of balancing life on the road

Brown’s fresh melody, the song is a bit of bluegrass nirvana, rounded out
by a band of A-listers including Bryan Sutton, Stuart Duncan, Todd

many minutes of music fit onto a vinyl record? This is a topic that has tripped

music on your LP or single will help it sound its best, what the maximum number
of minutes is, what the main factors are in determining how many minutes of
music you can have on each side of your record, some of the things that
mastering engineers do to squeeze a bit more time onto that record, and the
downside of squeezing the maximum amount of music onto a record.

(27-28 May, 2025) Weekend
One In The Kenny-Sphere / Kenny Chesney Welcomes Megan Moroney
To Another Dimension @ Sphere Vegas / Kenny Chesney Lands at No. 1 on Billboard’s
Top Country Artists of the 21st Century
For a man who can’t stay in one
place very long, Kenny Chesney is creating an even deeper sense of what one of
America’s best loved collection of songs means with each night of his residency
at Sphere Las Vegas. Even with the high intensity visual media, the
intensely dialed in sound and an intimacy afforded by the immersive venue
configuration, what stands out more than anything is the unwavering connection
between the high energy East Tennessee born artist and No Shoes Nation. Early in the show on
Sunday night, Chesney stood at his mic and confessed, “I rarely take
requests, but there are some people here from the islands… and they said,
‘We’ve heard all the hits, now play us something from the heart.’ Regaling
the capacity crowd with the story of how life becomes art, he went completely
off-script to deliver a tender take on “Old Blue Chair,” the semi-title track
from Be as You Are: Songs from an Old Blue Chair.
After Kelsea Ballerini
dropped in on opening night, Grace Potter arrived for the weekend and a
sultry take on the double GRAMMY-nominated “You & Tequila.” Dressed in
thigh high vintage Ann Klein boots of many colors panels, she embodied the rock
& roll spirit expected from the fiery roots songstress. “It’s not often our
circles converge anymore,” Chesney says of the woman recently profiled in The
New York Times, “because she has a life of her own, but when it does,
it’s magical.”
Beyond debuting Megan
Moroney’s postcards from No Shoes Nation “You Had To Be There,” which
captures her journey from cheap seats to stadium opener, Moroney played her Top
5 smash “Am I Okay?,” which she performed with Chesney’s blazing hot band at
Gillette Stadium. The pair reprised their romping “All The Pretty Girls,” plus
Moroney’s return-to-the-set-list fave “She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy.”
“No one has more fun onstage than Megan Moroney,” Chesney enthused after the
pair’s high velocity duets. “She doesn’t just radiate joy up there, she makes
everybody want to experience the amount of fun she is clearly having. Even I
want to – and don’t always – maintain that level of feeling good. She just
brings it.”
LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Kenny
Chesney woke up to some very outrageous news. With a landmark opening week at
Sphere in Las Vegas, where he became the first country act to headline, the
news broke that the soft-spoken songwriter/superstar was named Billboard’s
Top Country Artist of the 21st Century. Recognizing his imprint
on the genre across both singles and the larger perspective of his albums, the
honor comes on the heels of being a 2025 Country Music Hall of Fame Electee,
alongside June Carter Cash and producer/executive Tony Brown.
With 33 Billboard No.
1 Country Airplay songs, more than anyone since the chart’s
inception, nine all-genre Billboard 200 Albums, as well as all
17 of his 21st century albums topping their Country Albums chart,
Chesney’s music has been an indelible part of what country music can contain.
Enlisting duet partners Willie Nelson, Dave Matthews, Grace Potter, the Wailers,
P!nk and Uncle Kracker on major hits, as well as Mindy Smith, Ziggy Marley,
Jimmy Buffett, George Jones and Joe Walsh, Chesney’s country is an expansive
place.
(27 May 2025) The Wood Brothers have shared “Pray God
Listens” (listen/watch/share), the second single (and its official lyric
video) to be released in advance of the band’s forthcoming album, PUFF OF
SMOKE, due August 1 on Honey Jar Records/Thirty Tigers. The song is a
tongue-in-cheek observation on the concept of “God" that's built upon a
buoyant Cachito/Cuban-inspired groove. Oliver Wood explains: "'Pray God Listens,' is a bit humorous and
cynical, but ultimately it’s a song of compassion and humility. It’s meant to
be light, but it’s ambiguous enough that you can draw your own conclusion. You
can take the cynicism part and the humor, or you can go a little deeper and
find the compassion.”
One year shy of their 20th
anniversary, The Wood Brothers—the Grammy Award-nominated trio comprised by
brothers Oliver and Chris Wood and Jano Rix—continue to
evolve via a pure and relentless creative spirit. Through the near two decades
spent together in the studio and on the road, the band has honed their
interconnected, singular voice to telepathic proportions. On Puff Of Smoke,
their ninth studio album to date, the songs weave a medley of musical ideas —
ranging from Latin-inflected acoustic guitar lines, to driving post-jazz
rhythms, to infectious sing-along choruses — resulting in a cohesive, joyful
whole. All with The Wood Brothers' trademark turns of phrase and lighthearted,
but subversively profound wisdom at the core.
(28 May 2025) 16x ACM, 9x CMA

Ranch, King George, King James”, “Yesterday, All Day, Every Day” and “Peace,

from Merle Haggard
When it comes to keeping busy, The Malpass Brothers’ break-neck pace might leave
some fellow artists breathless. That hard-charging work ethic is all they know,
instilled in them by their parents, and cemented by Country Music legend,
longtime friend and former employer Merle Haggard.
“We’ve been doing this so long, you’d think we would’ve improved,” Chris
Malpass jokes.
“Merle had lived such an insane life,” Taylor Malpass explains of Haggard’s
difficult, but meteoric rise to superstardom. “To come from where he came from,
to getting into trouble, to making something of himself.”
The Brothers marvel at how discovering music took Haggard from being a
California prison inmate, to country music stardom, to – now legendary status,
both as an artist and a prolific, poetic songwriter.
Chris and Taylor toured with Haggard – as members of his band – for 7 years,
and that experience left an indelible mark on them, both personally and
professionally.

(30 May 2025) Allie Colleen, recognized for her
unforgettable voice and powerful gift for songwriting, has released her first
single for the year, “Mahogany Teakwood.” The very intimate and
personal song was self-penned by Allie Colleen and produced, mixed and
engineered by Dave Pahanish in Nashville with Sol
Philcox Littlefield adding his special touch on acoustic guitar. Allie
shared, “It is always scary and exciting putting a new song out and taking
on a story that feels so personal to represent. I wrote this one by myself one
night in the thick of it, and it is very, very scary for me to allow anyone
into this world. I am still very much healing from this heartbreak, and it’s
always hard to give voice to something so raw while you’re still in the process
of mending. "Mahogany Teakwood" is available on all digital
platforms now HERE.
(30 May 2025) Multi-Platinum
recording artist Dylan Scott enters a new creative chapter with total confidence
as his third studio album EASY
DOES IT releases.
The 11-track collection spans themes of heartbreak, committed love and nods to
the small town that raised him. The Tennessean praised the album,
stating, “Whether backed by a band or accompanied by musicians playing as
soft as a whisper, Scott's gruff baritone, one of his most prominent artistic
selling points, takes center stage.” “I feel like I’m in the best
stage of life so far, and this album reflects that for me,” Scott
describes. “I don’t know if that’s because of my kids or being married as
long as I have, or if it’s just getting into my 30s, but I don’t stress. I
don’t worry like I used to – we just go to work. As crazy as it sounds, I’m in
that 'Easy Does It' phase of life.”. POSITIVE Review EF Country

(30 May 2025) GIRLS RULE:
The second track from Daves Highway waterfall series, "Good Luck Girl"
(writers Delaney Daves, Erika Daves, Ryan Rossebo, Zachary Daves) sets the
landscape as an early introduction to the band's fifth album, IF YOU ASKED
ME, featuring five original tunes and the trio’s interpretation of Martina
McBride’s iconic hit ballad “Anyway” anticipated in August 2025.
The feel-good melody supports
the bubbly fair warning to the ex-boyfriend's new girlfriend. The pep talk from
"someone who's been there" red flags trouble on the horizon as
chivalry fades and the tornado forms. The ebb and flow swell of orchestral and
rock instrumentals fuel the "I told you so" notice. Listen to Good
Luck Girl HERE
(May
30, 2025) Dustin Lynch ain’t “Easy To Love.” Flipping the title
of his brand-new single in an unexpected way, the MULTI-PLATINUM star is the
first to admit he’s stubborn, restless, and tough to pin down when it comes to
matters of the heart. Listen to the chill summer jam here. Written
by Lynch with Ben Johnson ,Jon Robert Hall, Hunter
Phelps, and Zach Crowell, the autobiographical narrative speaks to
Lynch’s life on the run as he confesses that he’s always been good at going
alone – but is still looking for more: “I’m still thinkin’ maybe one day I’ll
find her / They always say when you know, you know / If I know me, she’ll be my
next right turn / But I’ll take a left just to see where it goes.” The adjoining music video further speaks to the track’s blue-skied optimism as
a visual love letter to Key West. Filmed under director Jack Owens, the
Florida footage captures Lynch ready for every opportunity that comes his way.
(May
30, 2025) Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter Hayes
Carll has
released the laid-back new song ’High’ off his highly
anticipated, forthcoming album, We’re Only Human. The album is
set for release on August 8th via Hwy 87 Records/Thirty Tigers.
Opening with flugelhorn, flute and piano, the easygoing track serves a
metaphor for that rare feeling of inner peace, recognsing a moment when fear,
stress, chaos and confusion subside. Carll sings, “I have
chased a feeling all these years / Blocked by insecurities and fears / Oh
it feels so good as that all disappears / I have chased this feeling all these
years.” It is a reminder to stop, breathe and savor that state of mind
when it arrives. Watch the new video for ‘High’ HERE.
(30 May 2025) Nashville-via-Sydney
singer-songwriter Imogen Clark is getting high octane and back to the nitty gritty
with her new album ‘CHOKING ON FUEL’. After a breakneck year of non-stop
touring, returning to her roots armed with an acoustic guitar, Imogen is
rolling out a record that captures the intensity, vulnerability, musical
dexterity and vocal power that characterizes her compelling live performances.
“I spent last year on the road around the world, playing headline shows but
also touring with Robyn Hitchcock, Steve Poltz, BOWEN * YOUNG and Andrew
Farriss” ,Imogen explains. “So many people have messaged me or
commented on my social media to say that they would love to have an album that
captured the spirit of what I do live, and that’s what this is”.
The album puts Imogen’s rich, devastating vocals front and center,
foregrounding her deft, cutting lyrics and affecting melodies. The record runs
the emotional gamut from the wry, incendiary All Hard Feelings (with
70s style backing vocals from co-writers Sinead Burgess and Blake O’Connor, who
also tears up a blistering slide guitar solo).
An unexpected bookend closing note comes with a radical reinterpretation
of the classic Sheryl Crow / Jeff Trott anthem ‘If It Makes You Happy’,
reimagined as a vulnerable duet with Imogen’s tourmate and Americana UK Live
Act of the Year Kezia Gill. Aussie fans will expect to see it on the
setlist when Imogen and Kezia head down under for a co-headline tour in
October.
“I’ve gotten to know and write with Jeff Trott since I’ve been living in
Nashville,” Imogen explains.“ After hearing him explain how he began
writing this song late one night on the piano, it sparked the idea of
approaching the song from that point of view. Having Kez sing it with me added
so much extra magic to this version of one of my all-time favorite songs”.

Global Country Artist Award winner Kaylee
Bell keeps raising the bar with
her explosive new single, “Red Dirt Romeo,” available
now. Co-written in Nashville with Riley Bria and Trey
Gust, and produced by Tom Jordan, “Red Dirt Romeo” is a
country-pop firecracker that pairs Southern storytelling with driving guitars
and an irresistible hook. The song brings new life to the Romeo and Juliet
mythos, reimagined in dusty boots and small-town chaos—with a cowboy twist.
LISTEN TO “RED DIRT
ROMEO” HERE. “Red Dirt Romeo was
written in Nashville with my friends Riley Bria and Trey Gust,” Bell shared.
“We are all quite possibly the biggest Keith Urban fans and wanted to write
a song with the same energy and feeling we get when we listen to his early
records. The song was fun to write as we tried to weave the story of Romeo and
Juliet into a country life setting of falling in love with a cowboy on the run.” With lyrics that sizzle and a
beat that begs to be blasted through the windows of a pickup truck, the track
is a love letter to youthful passion, reckless devotion, and the kind of
all-consuming romance that can't be contained. It's a tribute to both country
tradition and fresh, modern grit—two trademarks of Bell's ever-evolving
artistry.

Man” and “Dirty Wings” as a preview of what's to come on
her forthcoming project produced by Ryan Hadlock (Zach Bryan, Brandi
Carlile, The Lumineers, Wyatt Flores).
“'Go Find Less' is a song
about reclaiming my power — a voice rising from the ashes of
vulnerability,” Holup shares. “Much of my writing has long
stemmed from a place of victimhood, but this piece marks a rare moment where I
step beyond pain to confront the perpetrator, turning my strength inward. In
truth, I believe both paths are valid; yet this song stands as a testament to
the moment I chose to find my voice not in my suffering, but in my resilience.”

(30 May 2025) Review: Morgan Wallen was at the top of his
game at The Roundhouse in London…………..Love him or hate him,
Wallen is going nowhere and it’s a long time since I’ve been to a gig where it
felt like the audience was completely lost in the performer. The fans knew
every single word, Wallen at times looked overwhelmed by the reaction he was
getting and there was a sense of family that’s rarely present at shows anymore.
Whatever it is Wallen has, his fans can’t get enough of it and with even bigger
things in the pipeline for the UK in 2026, it looks like Wallen’s star is going
to continue to rise. Tonight’s performance proved that he’s at the top of his
game right now and he’s showing no signs of slowing down any time soon. 5 STARS EF Country by Pip
Ellwood-Hughes.
