Nancy Hays & The Heffernans began releasing Christmas music as a family band over a decade ago. Mom, Nancy, and three of her four young adult children—Mary, Matthew, and Caroline —have appeared as guests on radio and TV talk shows since 2012. “Merry Christmas to All and Goodnight” is a song by John Doyle that honors the Heffernans Irish American heritage. Every Christmas morning, the Heffernan family begins the day with "The Bells of Dublin" and they have enjoyed playing Irish music at every major family gathering. Nancy Hays has written songs on her 2024 vinyl album “Heart Like a Train”, inspired by the melodies composed by Irish American fiddler, Liz Carroll, who has collaborated with John Doyle in some of her past performances. Nancy’s song "Come Dance with Me" is a global hit. In the fall of 2024, Nancy made her sixth tour of the UK and appeared on the stage of the Glasgow's Grand Ole Opry.
