Maddie Lenhart’s folky reimagining of "Last Christmas" blends pedal steel, banjo, and ethereal harmonies to create a dreamy, nostalgic soundscape. By stripping the original down to its emotional core and rebuilding it with warm, organic textures, this version breathes new life into a holiday favorite — perfect for cozy winter nights, acoustic Christmas playlists, and fans of heartfelt Americana and country music.
MORE ABOUT MADDIE LENHART: Hailing from the hills of West Virginia, Maddie Lenhart
has taken her mountaintop soul and Appalachian storytelling to the Nashville scene in a major way. Performing at every talent show she could find as a child, Maddie’s love for music deepened with age. After graduating college in the Blue Ridge Mountains, she moved to Nashville and immersed herself in the city’s songwriting community. The COVID-19 pandemic became a turning point, prompting her to commit to music full-time.
Since
releasing her debut single in September 2023, Maddie’s career has taken off.
Her breakout track “Sober” has racked up nearly 400,000 organic streams,
earning praise for her raw lyricism and magnetic voice. She has headlined shows
at The Basement, performed fan-favorite sets at The East Room and Bowery Vault,
and sold out rounds at both the Listening Room Café and the iconic Bluebird
Café. Most recently, she returned home for a sold-out show at The Barns at Wolf
Trap in Vienna, Virginia.
2025
has been monumental for Lenhart. She was named an Artist You Need to Know by
Holler, performed on the Spotlight Stage at CMA Fest, and took the stage at The
Kennedy Center in June. Her music has been featured by the Academy of Country
Music, Spotify, Apple Music, and other major platforms. Her most recent single
"Drive Me Crazy" was featured on Billboard on release week as one of
5 'Must Hear New Country Songs.'
