“The
nostalgia of Dolly Parton's 'Hard Candy Christmas' has been a special part of
Christmas ever since I can remember,” Hadlie shares. “It's such a beautiful
song about moving on and knowing it's all going to be okay, even when you don't
think it will be. I wanted to record a bluegrass/country version to hopefully
inspire that nostalgia in a new generation of people.”
