JENNY TOLMAN RELEASES HEARTFELT
VETERANS DAY SINGLE "TIMBUKTU"
People.com Exclusively Premieres Music Video

Jenny shared: “I am so proud to share my new single, "Timbuktu", with all of you. This song is so special to me, as it's really a love song dedicated to anyone who is struggling with their mental health, as well as the ones who love them alongside it all” .

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – In a heartfelt tribute dedicated to those who served, rising songstress Jenny Tolman releases her newest single and music video for "Timbuktu" (Old Sol Records), which dropped on Friday Nov 10, 2023. People.com exclusively premiered the music video noting that "the moving visual tells the story of a young family as they work together through the husband’s deployment and his mental health upon returning home. As the couple appears as if they could be both in present day or the 1950s, and the video is interspersed with vintage footage of men and women heading off to war as loved ones say farewell, 'Timbuktu' speaks to what decades of military families have persevered through."

"Timbuktu" was written by Tolman along with her husband, Grammy-nominated producer, Dave Brainard and Holly McCubbin. Brainard drew on his military background to share a unique perspective, while Tolman incorporated her own struggles with postpartum depression to create the song, which is intended to help anyone struggling with mental health.

In conjunction with the release of "Timbuktu," Tolman will be partnering with Operation Stand Down Tennessee to raise awareness and funds for their Operation Connect program, which supports efforts in outreach and suicide prevention for veteran men and women in 20 counties across the Tennessee region.

Tolman will also be performing at the 4th Annual Music City Cares Veterans Day Benefit Show at the iconic Texas Troubadour Theatre in Nashville this Saturday, Nov. 11. The benefit will be showcasing Nashville's strong dedication to assisting our military veterans. Every dollar raised from this event will go directly to Operation Stand Down Tennessee. ABOUT JENNY TOLMAN:

Nashville native,
Jenny Tolman is your "ride or die" kind of artist. Her songs will make audiences laugh, cry, stomp their feet, clap their hands and shake their heads in wonder at her inciteful, story-like lyrics. With a razor-sharp wit and throwback sound, she is this generation’s Roger Miller – just as funny, just as flashy, but from a decidedly feminine perspective.

Her sophomore album, MARRIED IN A HONKY TONK – which made Wide Open Country’s list of the Most Anticipated Country Albums of 2022 – was released with critics proclaiming it "stunning" (American Songwriter) and permeated with "in-your-face humor and witty lyrics that have become increasingly rare in country music" (Billboard). From curating the first all-female country music festival, "Cowgirls at The Cowboy," at the world famous Million Dollar Cowboy Bar, featured on CMT’s Hot 20 Count-down, to garnering a viral music video for her single, "Watering the Weeds," Tolman continues to prove she has the talent and work ethic to become a country music powerhouse. 60,120 Monthly Spotify Listeners
