Critically acclaimed and touted as a top “artist to watch,” to being crowned the most nominated artist at both the 2023 CMA Awards (with a record breaking nine nominations) and CMT Music Awards, the Louisiana native has made a name for herself in the industry as one of music’s hottest and most buzzed-about new artists. somewhere between country and soul | 42,473 Monthly Spotify Listeners | Most streamed track Somebody 342,243 streams written by Meg McRee, Harper O'Neill

A Nashville-based music sensation, is rewriting the rules of the genre with her debut project, ‘DARK BAR DAISY.’, which was released Oct 6, 2023. Born in Dallas, Texas, in 1990, Harper’s journey to here has been marked by her unwavering dedication to authenticity and an innate musical talent that sets her apart from the crowd. You will also be able to see her over here in the UK in January when she opens for Ashley McBryde on her UK tour.

After putting down roots in Nashville, O’Neill began finding ways into the local music scene, trying out co-writes and finding gigs to play around town. After posting a performance video to TikTok in 2022— far from being a regular TikToker, O’Neill had only dabbled with the platform — O’Neill got a text claiming to be from Jody Williams, the renowned publishing executive and former head of BMI known for working with everyone from Maren Morris to Carrie Underwood. Williams texted O’Neill on April 1st, so she couldn’t help but think it was a prank. They arranged a meeting for the following week and Williams signed O’Neill to his Jody Williams Songs on the spot.

While she had a stockpile of songs she’d written over the years, O’Neill didn’t feel strongly enough about the material to use it for her first project, so she started from nothing. That decision led to the gradual birth of Dark Bar Daisy.

With her debut project, ‘Dark Bar Daisy’ Harper O’Neill is poised to make her mark as one of country music’s most exciting new voices. Although there’s a lot more to her sound and style than just Country music as she melds classic Soul, R&B and Gospel-tinged singer-songwriter vibes into one evocative melting pot.....Her soulful vocals and evocative storytelling, accompanied by rich and varied musical arrangements, create an enchanting listening experience. This album is not only a testament to O’Neill’s immense talent but also a promising sign of her potential as a future luminary in the world of music. ‘Dark Bar Daisy’ is a must-listen for anyone seeking an authentic and soul-stirring musical journey”. 3.1/2 STARS James Daykin EF COUNTRY
