This is my third year of touring overseas and the audiences blow me away every time,” declared Young. “That being said, the sold out crowd at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London was absolutely one of the best crowds I've ever played for! They packed the house and sang along and just have this love for country music – it’s mind-blowing!”

Chris returns to the US at the end of the month where he’ll headline the hometown “I’m Comin’ Over” World Tour stop at Nashville’s new Ascend Amphitheater on September 30. CHRIS YOUNG plays LONDON!

Chris Young played a sold out show at London's Shepherds Bush Empire on Monday Sept 14th 2015.
See the Facebook 12 picture gallery taken by CMA photographer Anthony D’Angio (aka Flex The Frog; Website) : Last minute request for specific photos from Chris Young's management in Nashville meant my pass was changed to AAA/Full Show, giving me more scope for a variety of shots. No question that Chris is an absolute favourite here in the UK and last night's sold out crowd at the O2 Shepherds Bush Empire was testament to this. A great, revitalised performance from Chris Young and his band. #getflexd

(15 Sept) Chris Young - Shepherds Bush Empire | Mon 14th Sept 2015
(Live Review) by Erica Fielder 2country.net

First up was the lovely Frankie Davis. She has a beautiful voice and played the guitar well but I have to be honest and say that I personally think the venue was too big for her and the crowd didn’t look engaged or ‘warmed up’.  Many were chatting loudly at the bar throughout her set. I would however, like to see her again with a full band at a smaller venue.

Then the lights dimmed, the crowd suddenly exploded and Chris Young burst on to the stage with A.M! ....We were treated to old and new hits from ‘Lost’,’ Voices’, ‘Tomorrow’ right through to ‘Neon’ & ‘I’m Coming
Over’. Chris looked amazed that everyone knew the words to ‘I’m Coming Over’. At one point Chris was about to play a song when someone shouted out ‘Text Me Texas’. Everyone cheered as it’s a song that has been well received here in the UK. Chris said “You asked for it, we know it, so I’m gonna sing it”. I thank the person who shouted that request and it was beautiful moment.
He looked visibly in awe at the reception he was receiving and it was so obvious that he was excited and ready for a rocking night!.....Read More - Photos

For The Country Record (by Nick Jarman)
Chris Young - Shepherd’s Bush Empire, London, UK | September 14, 2015 – Review
Kicking off the show was my very favourite UK artist, Frankie Davies, hailing from the island of Jersey. Since seeing her at the UK Country Roots showcase late last year, the rest of the UK crowd simply haven’t done it for me since Frankie just blew them out of the competition with sharp guitar work and a stunning voice. This happened again, with a diverse and wonderful supporting set winning a large portion of the packed audience, pretty rare for an early support set.....By the time Chris actually took to the stage the crowd was already hyped up, and from my perch up on the balcony, the wall of noise hitting me was very impressive, unlike what I usually experience standing in the pit. Beginning with ‘AM’ was also a good move, since the upbeat nature of the song would stir the crowd even more. Throughout the show, Chris was visibly taken aback by the raucous reception he received from the UK crowd, and as he repeated throughout the show, he talked to us way more than he usually would. It was this that was really impressive to see as a fan, that he obviously had a set-list that he repeats night after night, but that he could break it up based on the crowd responses.

He even went as far as to kick his band off the stage at one point to play an acoustic version of ‘Text Me Texas’ after a member of the audience shouted a request during a quiet moment.... Examples of Chris’ charm include an intermission during ‘I Can Take It From There’, where he preceded to perform a Conway Twitty impression after name-dropping him in the song.

During this interlude, I could hear a collective panty-drop from the women (and some men) in the audience, but based on some lewd signs hoisted during the show, I wouldn’t be surprised if some fans came without underwear in the first place!..Thanks to the exceptional enthusiasm by both the fans and Chris, the show was actually extended past the 75 minute set list that Chris usually plays, and when I left at 11, he was still playing his second encore, including his fun drinking song ‘Save Water, Drink Beer’. I can’t say how impressed I was with Chris Young and his band, especially the amount they gave back to the fans in London, playing extra songs, taking requests, and just generally talking to us outside of the usual rehearsed spiel that comes from artists on stage. Come back Chris, I would like to buy you a beer (or 7).

CHRIS YOUNG in session BBC Scotland

(16 Sept 2015) Chris Young | Interview and Session: American country singer-songwriter Chris Young performs live and talks to Ricky Ross on BBC Radio Scotland. He played live on Another Country ahead of his debut sold-out show in Glasgow.
Hear the stories behind some of his songs, winning Nashville Star in 2006 and performs "You", "Neon" also his cover of ZZ Top's Sharp Dressed Man.

The discussion, includes Young's excitement about scoring a Gold certification for the Neon album and new single "I'm Comin' Over" and steamy video which accompanied it (6.7 million YouTube views; published on May 29, 2015).

With a crisp, recognizable voice full of traditional Country depth and just enough twang laid over a pedal steel, this power ballad from Chris Young delivers everything a Country traditionalist could want with a contemporary touch. Young pours equal parts seduction and heartbreak in to this yearning track, which is the perfect vehicle for his trademark smooth baritone vocals. A tale of the struggle to separate love from lust, I'm Comin' Over; swells with an easily relatable chorus: So I’m comin’ over / Runnin’ every red light / To hell with the closure / Save it for another time / Try not to think about you / But it ain’t workin’ / Why put out a fire when it’s still burnin’ / Just when I think movin’ on is gettin’ closer / I’m comin’ over
Everything we've come to love about Chris Young is on full display in the first single from a forthcoming album.
