Ryan releases summer single
‘Won’t Ya Come Down (To Yarmouth Town)’
Ireland’s “Entertainer of the Year”, released his new single for the summer at the weekend, ‘Won’t Ya Come Down (To Yarmouth Town)’, a song which is sure to take dancehalls by storm at Derek’s shows over the next few months.
The song was first performed & released by the last of the ‘Clancy Brothers’, Liam Clancy. Liam was an Irish folk singer, and was part of a band, who were known as Ireland’s first pop stars. Derek has now recorded a more modern version of the song, and made it his own.
The number-one selling artist travelled to Great Yarmouth to record a music video for the single, and to really get a feel of what the song is about. The video, which portrays the fun and beauty of the picturesque seaside town of Yarmouth, was published on June 6, 2016 receiving nearly 3,000 views in 24 hours.
‘It’s got a real summer feel to it’ said the singer-songwriter ‘not only is it about a seaside town, it’s a catchy song that will, hopefully, be the song of the summer!’
Derek is currently on his ‘One Good Night’ dance tour, which fills up dance floors all over the country.
