The night had two multiple winners: Brett Kissel and Dean Brody.
Brett Kissel took home the coveted Fans' Choice Award presented by SiriusXM and Male Artist of the Year - his first time winning each of these awards.
"London, this is amazing . . . I've always dreamed about being up here on this stage and holding this award," Kissel told the fans.

Dean Brody took home CCMA Awards for Single of the Year and CMT Video of the Year presented by Coors Banquet, both for his song, "Bring Down The House".

Gord Bamford received Album of the Year presented by Jack Daniel's for TIN ROOF; his third time receiving this accolade: DAY JOB (2010), IS IT FRIDAY YET? (2013).
"Thanks for Jack Daniel's for sponsoring this -- my favourite whiskey of choice," the Alberta star said.
Bamford might have added a London Knights reference -- but he had London love for the thousands of fans in the arena and across Canada.
"It's the greatest country in the world (with) the great country music fans in the world," Bamford said.

Saskatchewan's Jess Moskaluke took home the CCMA Award for Female Artist of the Year for the third consecutive year.
"This is incredible. Every time this happens, I'm in disbelief," she told fans. She wanted to support Canadian women in country music.
"I do want to thank the women who have blazed a trail for all of us." she said.
Two of those women -- Terri Clark, who lived briefly in London, and Merlin-raised Michelle Wright -- were to be part of the show later.
'I'm just doing something that I love' says 3 time CCMA winner Jess Moskaluke

Group or Duo of the Year went to the brothers of High Valley for the second year in a row.

CCMA AWARDS PRESENTED AT GALA EVENT IN LONDON
CANADIAN COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME INDUCTIONS
& CCMA AWARD OF ACHIEVEMENT RECIPIENT AMONG THOSE RECOGNIZED

The Canadian Country Music Association® (CCMA®) celebrated an evening of glitz and glamour at its second of three awards ceremonies being held this weekend in London, Ontario. Twenty awards were bestowed at the CCMA Gala Dinner & Awards, including inductions into the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame and the presentation of a CCMA Award of Achievement.

CCMA Awards 2016: Murray McLauhlan
HALL OF FAME Inductee Sept 2016
Murray McLauchlan was inducted into the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame in the artist category, while Paul Mascioli was honoured with the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame Stan Klees Builder Award.
A music creator and a business innovator, McLauchlan and Mascioli join a prestigious list of cherished artists and professionals who comprise the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame. Mike Stevens received the Slaight Music Humanitarian Award in recognition of the charity efforts he founded with ArtsCan Circle.

The evening's award ceremony recognized CCMA Members in categories ranging from artist and musician to industry and radio. Among the many winners who were celebrated was Dean Brody, who was awarded Songwriter of the Year presented by ole for "Bring Down The House", a song which also earned him the Top Selling Canadian Single.

Brett Kissel took home his third consecutive Interactive Artist of the Year Award and The Washboard Union, first-time nominees, received the accolade of Roots Artist of the Year.

Quebec sensation Yoan took home Top Selling Canadian Album of the Year presented by Music Canada, for Yoan, an award he also won in 2015. This shows that Quebec is a viable market and the fans buy lots of albums. Yoan is not known outside of Quebec, to our knowledge never had a single played on radio across Canada. Having worked in Montreal for many years I saw the power of the Quebec audiences supporting their own. Congratulations to Yoan.
Top Selling Album of the Year presented by Arts & Entertainment Health Insurance Plan went to Luke Bryan for KILL THE LIGHTS. Bryan will be presented the award at a later date.

Eric Ethridge, from Sarnia, Ontario, took home this year's CCMA Discovery Award. The award is bestowed upon one of six finalists in the CCMA Discovery Program based upon compiled scores from several major milestones of the program: a panel interview, a written essay and a showcase performance from Thursday night as part of Country Music Week. The CCMA Discovery Program was developed to educate and support Canadian country music artists in their pursuit of a career in the music industry.
