NASHVILLE – Reigning CMA Vocal Duo of the Year Brothers Osborne and rising Country Music stars Lauren Alaina and Dustin Lynch announced the final nominees for “The 51st Annual CMA Awards” Country Music’s Biggest Night live from New York’s Times Square Monday, Sept. 4 on ABC’s “Good Morning America.”

The CMA Awards are my favorite time of the year. It’s exciting to honor Country Music’s legacy, celebrate today’s artists, and reveal the superstars of tomorrow,” said Sarah Trahern, CMA Chief Executive Officer. “Unlike any other awards show, we represent a rich history of one individual music genre. And to have these three acts unveil our nominees on a national platform signifies a new era of talent and the continued growth of the industry, a core pillar of our organization.”
Nominees in select categories were announced in the 8:30 AM/ET half-hour segment of the top-rated morning news program. The highly-anticipated announcement was available via livestream on ABCnews.com/live. Brothers Osborne close out the Labor Day show with a performance of the anthemic “It Ain’t My Fault.”

Miranda Lambert leads the pack of this year’s top nominees racking up a total of five nominations, including a nod for Album Of The Year for her double album, THE WEIGHT OF THESE WINGSLambert has now 11 nominations for Female Vocalist, a category she’s won a record-setting six consecutive times (2010-2015; Carrie Underwood won in 2016).
Lambert is the most awarded female in CMA Awards history with 12 trophies. This year’s nods bring her to a career total of 44 CMA Awards nominations.

Little Big Town and Keith Urban follow close behind with four nominations each.
Eric Church, Maren Morris, Thomas Rhett, and Chris Stapleton also garnered three nominations each.

Brothers Osborne, Sam Hunt, Lady Antebellum, Old Dominion and Jon Pardi garnered two nominations.

LoCash scored a Vocal Duo of the Year nod taking the slot vacated by last years’ nominees Joey + Rory.
Maddie & Tae despite their low profile and lack of new music and switch to a new record label from shuttered Dot Records (Big Machine Group) still managed to secure a nomination, making up the numbers? Sierra” was the only single they released in 2016 which peaked at a lowly No.47 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart, and no new music from them has been released in 2017.

Eric Church is the only new addition for Entertainer Of The Year in an all-male affair.

Reba McEntire replaces Kacey Musgraves in Female Vocalist Of The Year category. This marks McEntire’s eighteenth nomination for Female Vocalist, a category she’s won four years consecutively (1984-1987). She is a six-time CMA Awards winner and now ties Brooks & Dunn with 50 career CMA Awards nominations.

Thomas Rhett is the only new addition for Male Vocalist Of The Year.

Newcomer Jon Pardi snags his first two CMA nominations this year with “Dirt On My Boots” (Single and Song of the Year).

Taylor Swift received her 23rd nomination for writing Little Big Town’s “Better Man,” marking her second nomination for Song of the Year and first CMA Awards nod since 2014.

More associated with the Americana genre Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit with THE NASHVILLE SOUND gets a nod for Album of the Year.
Lauren Alaina snagged her 1st CMA nomination in the New Artist section joining newbies Luke Combs, Jon Pardi and Brett Young.

About Brothers Osborne: Two sons from a working class family, John and TJ Osborne grew up in a small, Maryland water town writing and playing songs for friends and family in their father’s shed. John moved to Nashville first to play in other bands and two years later, TJ joined him. It was then they formed Brothers Osborne as a twang-and-crunch duo that blends equal parts country and rock into one of the freshest, most identifiable sounds to come out of Nashville in recent years. The singer/songwriter siblings stand as the reigning 2016 CMA “Vocal Duo of the Year”. Brothers Osborne’s debut album PAWN SHOP was released January 2016 and features their current rowdy single “It Ain’t My Fault” in addition to the GRAMMY-nominated, No.1 smash hit “Stay A Little Longer” as well as the GRAMMY-nominated “21 Summer.” Brothers Osborne just embarked on their first-headlining The Dirt Rich Tour this past fall after previously touring with the likes of Eric Church, Little Big Town and Miranda Lambert. They will join Chris Stapleton on the road this year as part of his All-American Road Show Tour.

About Lauren Alaina: Georgia native Lauren Alaina captured America’s hearts when she appeared on Season 10 of American Idol. On Jan. 27, Lauren followed up her No. 1 debuting first album, Wildflower, with the release of the eagerly-awaited Road Less Traveled. Selected as one of Rolling Stone’s Most Anticipated Albums of 2017 and praised as “full of life lessons and uplift” (PEOPLE), the collection of 12 songs all written by the young star includes Lauren’s first No. 1 hit, title track “Road Less Traveled.”
The “sassy Southerner with killer pipes” (PARADE) has shared the stage with superstars including Alan Jackson, Carrie Underwood, Jason Aldean, Martina McBride and most recently, this summer’s Huntin’, Fishin’, And Lovin’ Every Day Tour with Luke Bryan.
Lauren is one of CMT’s Next Women of Country and recently scored her first CMT Music Award for Breakthrough Video of the Year. Lauren has also been nominated for several Teen Choice Awards, Radio Disney Awards and this spring, Lauren earned her first ACM nomination for New Female Vocalist of the Year.
Lauren brings her signature “powerhouse, honey-toned vocals” (Rolling Stone) to country radio with her incredibly moving current single, “Doin’ Fine.” For more information, visit www.LaurenAlainaOfficial.com.

About Dustin Lynch: Since releasing his PLATINUM debut single, “Cowboys and Angels,” Lynch has been on a steady path toward superstardom with four consecutive #1s, two Top 5 albums, PLATINUM-level certifications and tours with the biggest names in Country music (Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, and Brad Paisley).
Racking up over 113 million views on YouTube/VEVO, scoring 245 million-plus streams on Spotify, soaring to #1 on the MTV Music Meter, and selling 3 million digital tracks, he brings a fresh combination of traditional influence and edgy intensity to the genre. Following his sophomore album, WHERE IT’S AT (Broken Bow Records) – which debuted at #1 on the iTunes Country Albums Chart and has tallied over 1 million tracks sold to date – Lynch’s hotly-anticipated follow up, CURRENT MOOD, will arrive on September 8. Produced by Brent Anderson, Mickey Jack Cones, Ross Copperman, Zach Crowell, and Will Weatherly, the boldly adventurous project features the GOLD-certified singles “Seein’ Red” and “Small Town Boy,” and aims to push the envelope of Country music even further. Realizing his long time dream of creating a fashion line, Lynch has also branched out to launch Stay Country. The line of accessibly-priced men’s and women’s shirts, hats, and accessories, all emblazoned with the distinctive Stay Country logo, can be found online at www.staycountryclothing.com.

About “Good Morning America”: Emmy-award winning “Good Morning America” is a two-hour, live program anchored by Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos, Michael Strahan, Lara Spencer, Amy Robach and Ginger Zee. The morning news program airs Monday-Friday (7:00-9:00 AM/ET) on the ABC Television Network.
