Rachel Wammack is one of EW's "2019 Artists to Watch"

NASHVILLE, TN – Jan. 04, 2018 – RCA Nashville’s Rachel Wammack has forged her own path in Country music as the only artist in the genre selected for Entertainment Weekly’s “2019 Artists to Watch” list. After the release of her autobiographical debut single “Damage" found on her self-titled EP, ongoing critical praise continues to follow as she has made AOL, Pandora, Music Row, Pop Culture, Sounds Like Nashville’s “Artist to Watch” list as well. Additionally, Wammack was dubbed one of Rolling Stone’s “10 Best County EPs of 2018,” showing off "enormous potential for the young Muscle Shoals native” as well as NPR’s “Best Music of 2018” list.

The 24-year-old Muscle Shoals native has a "deep-rooted, classic sound" (Wide Open Country) influenced heavily by the rich music history from her hometown of Muscle Shoals. Throughout her adolescent years, she expressed her art in songwriting, storytelling and the high school band, before earning a college degree from the University of North Alabama. At the age of 17, Wammack was discovered by a Sony Music Nashville executive at a piano restaurant which led to her record deal five years later and the release of her self-titled EP in April, helmed by award-winning producer Dann Huff. Showcasing a "powerful, raw, honest collection" (All Access) the 4-song introductory features her autobiographical debut single "Damage," which she co-wrote with award-winning songwriters Tom Douglas and David Hodges. Proving "the rising star is here to stay” (Radio.com), her wildfire momentum continues to grow as she showcases "an undeniable air of confidence and sincerity when she performs” (Taste of Country) on the road with Brett Young on his CMT ON TOUR: HERE TONIGHT.
