For nearly six years, fans of Blue Moon Rising have
been waiting for new music from the band. Well, today is the day! Mountain Fever Records is honored
to release a new single from Blue Moon Rising. It's
titled, "Louisville Rambler" and is available on all major
digital music sites as well as by request on radio.
"Louisville Rambler" is a lively, grassy tune written by Jerry Dill. It's the story of a man who can't seem to make love work as long as he loves his whiskey more. There's a surprising twist at the end the listener won't hear coming. Chris West performs the lead vocal to perfection with his band of pros providing the back up.

She tried twice to warn
me once when the whiskey took control she'd be leaving
I never tried to stop
her she just walked right out the door and left me standing on my knees in Louisville
Blue Moon Rising has been making great music for almost two decades and has six albums to its credit. The band consists of the powerhouse team of Tim Tipton (Bass), Chris West (Guitar), Keith Garrett (Mandolin), Justin Jenkins (Banjo), Brandon Bostic (Dobro), and Randall Massengill (Guitar). Fans can expect more exceptional music from Blue Moon Rising on Mountain Fever Records in the coming months.
If you had
been wondering what singer/songwriter Keith Garrett would do following the
breakup of Highland Travelers, wonder no more. He has rededicated himself to
Blue Moon Rising, the group with whom he first drew notice in bluegrass.
