It’s like you always
know what’s on my mind
Like you know just what
I need to hear
Even when you’re hard
for me to find
I’ll keep on searching
‘till you come in loud and clear
Playing those songs
taking me back home
The ones about a simple
life the kind I used to know
Warmin’ my heart just
like the dashboard glow
Not a better friend out
on the road
Than my bluegrass radio
Nothing like a carter
Stanley song
To satisfy my
sentimental bone
That high and lonesome
sound I grew up on
Keepin’ me company
everywhere I go
