Meg and Tyler, a new country duo consisting of
past CMA nominee and The Voice Season 8 Runner-Up, Meghan Linsey and
renowned Record Producer/Songwriter, Tyler Cain have released the
video for their newest single “Lover”.
The video premiered on CMT’s Next Up Now and the song had a major
feature during a pivotal love scene on the new CBS drama “All Rise” on Monday
(Oct 28).
Shot and directed by Jeremy Ryan,
Tyler says, “The video is a simple concept. The goal was to capture the emotion
of our relationship and recent engagement. We really wanted it to be
raw and beautiful, like the song. We love working with Jeremy and knew that he
would have the vision we needed. Working with him is effortless”.
The song has always been a favorite amongst entertainment insiders, Linsey says, “Everyone in the music industry that we’ve played it for, has said it’s one of their favorites. We recorded it on my last album and decided to strip it down and re-record it for this project. It’s just one of my favorite songs I’ve ever been a part of writing. It’s vulnerable and it really speaks to where we are in our life. I think it will resonate with anyone in a relationship”.
Between creating new music and running their Uber successful
experiential business, Nashville Studio
Tour, the couple says, they are also busy planning a wedding. People Magazine broke the news about their
romantic Alaskan proposal back in June. “We’re excited to get married!”, says
Linsey. “We just want it to be a fun and low stress day with our closest
friends and family”.
The duo plans to release a full
EP at the top of the year and are working on some new projects in the Film and
Television space to be announced at the top of the year, as well.
