Segment 10: * AWARD * Album of the Year
UK Male Country Singer Of The Year nominee Callum Mountford presented the award.
Reviewing the 12 Tracks Alternative/ Americana set Country Music
People editor Duncan Warwick in the
March 2018 issue awarded it 1 STAR out of 5! Writing: …All of which make something of a
mockery of the whole Americana genre. It also shows how major labels can market
the hell out of something and convince people that the Emperor does actually
have some new clothes…have nerve to say on their press release that they are
channelling Fleetwood mac pop sensibility and the story telling of Chris
Stapleton..they’re actually doing presenting folky harmonies on pop music and
its neither country or Americana and shouldn’t be mentioned in the same
sentence…..They commit the worst of all crimes pretentiousness ..it’s contrived
made by numbers, pseudo pop marketed as country to try and recreate the success
of The Shires. This group not only makes me question country music it makes me
question life itself!
One man’s 1 STAR is another man’s 5 Star album it seems!
The Wandering Hearts played the Grand Ole
Opry House
