They have opened for
Catherine McGrath, Andy Brown, Megan McKenna, Key West and played the Black
Deer and Nashville Meets London Festivals. Their Story So Far
Wishing their fans a
Merry Christmas the girls describe their breakthough year in their own words:
Wow, what a year it’s been! Where do we even start?!
We’ve been very lucky to perform around the country (and
internationally) for you all!
From our first tour with Megan
McKenna to most recently supporting Michael
BublĂ© at BST Hyde Park, we’ve absolutely been living our dream! It’s all
thanks to you guys for showing your constant support and belief in us and our
music - THANK YOU!
Our favourite shows were C2C in
March and Hyde Park in July - we
couldn’t believe how many of you came to see us for the first time! The newer
festivals were amazing too- Black Deer and Nashville Meets London blew us away. They were our
biggest crowds and we also got to bring our fabulous band too! We were so
happy to meet some of you at the Meet and Greets, thank you for waiting in
the queue! We never expected it to be so long.
In September, we were fortunate enough to spend two weeks in the
home of Country Music, Nashville!
It was such a busy time for us, we spent our days writing a
whole bunch of new songs and even had the chance to write with the legend
that is Marcus Hummon (Bless The Broken
Road- Rascal Flatts, Cowboy Take Me Away- Dixie Chicks). A big chunk of our
time was spent recording (yesss!) some
of our tracks with Femke Weidemer! We had a
proper Nashville band play for us so we got the full experience and we can’t
WAIT to let you hear these!!
We also had the chance to represent the UK in a showcase called London Calling alongside Jess & The Bandits, Jade Helliwell and other great talents. It was funny how the American audience didn’t quite grasp the concept of our song ‘Jelly Baby’ (if you know what we mean haha!) as they don’t really sell Jelly Babies in USA - only Jelly Beans… awkward!
One of our favourite nights whilst we were there was spent performing at The Basement, a renowned venue in Nashville, which we headlined. We were nervous to perform our own songs as we never know how an American audience will take to us, but we were very pleasantly surprised and even met a couple from our hometown Birmingham- what a small world! Even the man himself Charles Esten (Deacon from CMT’s Nashville) turned up to watch our performance which meant we got to sing our cover of Sanctuary in front of him - eek!! Charles is such a lovely person and he also mentioned to us that we’ll be traveling on his tour bus in January - how cool is that?!
In between all of the madness, we actually got to see a bit of
Nashville, we went to the Grand Ole Opry, we
saw Cam play at the Ryman Auditorium and spent some quality time
eating lots of yummy food with our management! Successful trip if you ask us ;)
Keep your eyes out for our highlights video of the trip which will be added to
the website very soon!
After a busy year, we are really looking forward to spending time at home with our families over Christmas before heading back on tour in the New Year. The run up to Christmas is always really fun for us not only because of Christmas but it’s also Alicia’s birthday!! She loves being a Christmas baby and it also means more parties for us! ;)
2019 is looking very exciting for us indeed! We start the year
off on tour with Charles Esten (which is sold
out!!) and are hoping to play C2C again as that was a massive highlight
for us this year! The three of us love the sun and anything to do with Summer,
so we are very much looking forward to the festival
season!
