About Cortni Bird
She shares: Music is
my outlet and I am fortunate enough to do it for a living. In 2015, after a 3 year
hiatus, music reeled me back in. I co-produced and wrote my first album a few
years ago. Which was followed by an East Coast Tour. However, it was a
different genre. Now, I have entered the world of country music!
I write music for all
to relate and enjoy. What it means to me maybe different for the listener. This
is exactly what I want. I want fans to hear it in a way that they can truly
relate. Something personal about me, "I write from my own experiences, but
also am inspired by friends around me, and their stories.'
Today I live on the
gorgeous Emerald Coast in Navarre, FL. Impassioned by the music culture here,
beauty and incredible people, I am ready to rock the beaches, bays and country
side. I have an incredible passion and love for music that can only be
satisfied by taking the stage!
At just 19 years of age, Singer-songwriter Cortni Bird
wrote and co-produced her first album and toured the east coast of America.
Prior to releasing her “Karma’s Got Me Now” Cortni appeared at the CMA Music
Festival and then shortly after caught up with her leading producer, Mark Moseley, to work on more music for
her upcoming, and as yet untitled, album.
Cortni has been a co-owner of her own annual Country music
concert event entitled Country on the Sound held in Navarre, Florida. The
concert took place on the beautiful Navarre Beach and has featured such
headliners as Trace Adkins and Big & Rich.

Jeanne Jordan spoke with
presenter Jim Duncan on WCRfm 101.8 FM (Wolverhampton Community
Radio "The station with a lot more for Wolverhampton")
Jeanne took over the role of British Country Music Awards (BCMAwards) Secretary and Director in early July 2016. Previously the position was held by Roger Wild (Broke Spoke Festival/ Copper Kettle Promotions).
From a secretarial point of view Jeanne described the
forthcoming awards as:
"Absolutely amazing....were got an amazing stage set we've had some new members as directors, bit of shake up, new blood and great ideas coming through..it's going to be an amazing weekend...£20 well spent and it's the biggest event of the year"
"It's has had some dodgy presenters over the years the BCMAwards, it's suffered because of that" - Jim Duncan
Listen to The Interview:
Jeanne got her lucky break in the 1970s when she was
working in Blighties in Farnworth, Manchester and met a member of a very famous
local family.
Jeanne recalled: “I was singing and Tommy Cooper was on the same bill and Barbara Gibb was in the audience. After my set she came over to speak with me had we had a chat. A week or two later I was doing recordings and meeting all the boys. After that I was backwards and forwards to Vegas and Miami but I couldn't break ties with England. I love Nashville but I don’t want to live there.”
After a career which has been anything but 9 to 5, singer
Jeanne Jordan revealed singing her heart out as Dolly Parton was more fun than work.
And Jeanne laughed that she would never take the drastic steps the American country legend has to enhance her looks with plastic surgery, it's all Jeanne audiences see in her tribute set Dolly: The Show.
The singer revealed that she doesn't need to wear the big blonde wigs Dolly likes - she's got her own big curly hair.
“Making a push to play country music in the UK….they play a nice traditional style of country music” - Lee Williams President of the British Country Music Awards, CEO of Django Promotions and owner of CMR Nashville (“Europe’s #1 country music station”).
Their new single “Keep It Country” was played on CMR Nashville on Friday Oct 28th!

Ten years ago, Jeanne and BJ Thomas (her husband) began performing their own show as the
Legends of Country and four years ago, their latest show, Dolly, came into
being and it won best show in the British Country Music Awards.
Jeanne joined CMR
Nashville (“Europe’s #1 country music station”) hosting the monthly UC Magazine Country Show on the last

Give country music a chance!
Like Tammy Wynette, Jeanne stood by her man – literally, on
stage. One of the other lead vocalists in the Solid Gold Country Legends show
is her husband BJ Thomas, while
son Luke also sings and plays
guitar.
But she has also performed with her brother, singer John
Paul Evans, and she added: “My sister
does my wardrobe and hair, my youngest son is the stage manager and Luke’s
girlfriend is the merchandise manager”.
Jeanne admitted that country music had a bit of an image
problem, especially among younger generations. But she hoped passionately that
it would become more widely accepted – and was excited that the numbers of
British fans seem to be growing…..Read More News And Star (dated Nov
