ABOUT MORGAN EVANS:

Hailing from Newcastle, Australia, a steel and coal town on the east coast, Evans recalls an early interest in music when he started playing guitar at the age of 13.  He spent his teenage years seeing the country through the windshield of an old van as he toured in a band with his brother.

Raised listening to artists like Garth Brooks, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Creedence Clearwater Revival and Led Zeppelin, it was at the age of 17 when a Keith Urban concert changed his life. From that point on, he knew music was exactly what he wanted to spend his life creating.
Signed to Warner Music Australia since 2012, he now continues his relationship with the Warner Music family in Nashville. To celebrate, Evans put together a  one of a kind loop-pedal mashup honoring some of his new WMN label mates, which he has now followed with a second video, featuring his country music favourites.
Morgan was the winner of a record three Country Music Channel Music Awards in 2014, and signed as a presenter, host, and ambassador for the Country Music Channel in Australia. He has toured with Country superstars including Alan Jackson and Taylor Swift, as well as headlining his own tours in Australia and New Zealand. Evans signed to William Morris Endeavour Agency (world’s largest talent agency).
2014 has been a massive year so far for the Australian singer-songwriter. Kicking off with a multi-week #1 single “One Eye For An Eye”, and released his debut self-titled album. The album immediately shot to #1 on the iTunes and ARIA Country Albums charts and debuted at #20 on the ARIA Mainstream Albums chart. The second single “Like A Tornado” was #1 on the National Country Music Airplay Chart, after spending a record-equally five straight weeks at #1 on the National Country Music Channel Top 30.

In 2015 Morgan received the CMA Global Artist Award which recognizes outstanding achievements by a Country Music artist originally signed outside of the United States – in both furthering the popularity of Country Music and bringing attention to the Country Music format in their foreign-based territory.

He was joined in 2016 by international co-host Kelsea Ballerini (his wife to be) for the live CMC Rocks music festival national broadcast.

Evans played the historic Grand Ole Opry stage in May 2017 (Opry debut in 2014), followed by a performance the following evening at Nashville’s legendary Bluebird Café, and is currently in the studio working on new music with songwriter/producer Chris DeStefano (Dan+Shay, Rascal Flatts, Thomas Rhett).
He played the Chevrolet Walk Of Fame Park stage at the CMA Fest 2017.
