Ed Sheeran has (accidentally on purpose?), written a song called ‘Stay The Night’ on The Shires new album

Ed Sheeran has penned a track for British act The Shires in a bid to conquer the country charts. In true Sheeran style he deal was sealed during a heavy night of drinking in Nashville, Tennessee.
Ed’s given the duo — Ben Earle and Crissie Rhodes, a song from his epic vault, and the track, called Stay The Night and apparently, will take on country heavyweights including Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood in the charts later this year.In classic Ed style, the song handover was sealed after a heavy night out in Nashville, Tennessee, last October.

On Facebook & Instagram The Shires announced another new release coming April 19: 1 day before our third album!!! Going to be a busy week. So excited for this next chapter. Ben P.S. look at those guitar fingers.
Back in June 2016 before playing a headline on the Acoustic Stage at Glastonbury, a highlight of most musician’s lives, Country duo The Shires were thrown into panic when Ben Earle's fiancée Vicki gave birth to baby boy River at 1.30am in the morning of the Glastonbury show.

Ben shared: I got four hours’ sleep, went to see him and his mum [in hospital] and then just made it to the show on the Saturday. Crissie Rhodes, the other half of the duo, arrived alone at the venue, with her fingers crossed that Earle would make it on time and he did just!“ It [the set] was pretty emotional. I had been awake for 36 hours. I was crying after one song. It was amazing. The whole thing was really overwhelming — he is beautiful and perfect.”
