She’s got
that sultry, bluesy, organic thing that can only be described as swampy.
Rylie
Bourne has released her highly anticipated single "Untrue" on May 11th.
"I was in a point in my last relationship where I had just lost sight of who I really was. I was saying and doing things that didn't feel true to me anymore. This song is a direct result of that."
She
will also be opening up for Ben Haggard
along with Damon Atkins on July 27th.
Behind
the big body of her Gibson acoustic, Illinois native Rylie Bourne can often be
seen playing dive bars and the occasional stage performance such as the CMA
fest, but those stage performances may become more of a regularity for the 23-year
old after she releases a sure hit "Untrue."
"Untrue" is a very traditional, yet modern tune that Bourne will release on May 11th. The lyrics in this song describe a fearless woman that is a little rough around the edges and gives you a sense of being criminal. This will be her second single she released along with "Shoot to Kill" which revealed a very raw edition of herself that received great feedback from her fans…..

MUC:
What inspired your most recent single
"Untrue?"
RYLIE:
A relationship from the past. Which is pretty unlike me, honestly. I don't
usually tend to open up about that kind of stuff because I feel like it's been
done before. But I was in a situation in which I could feel myself changing as
a person, and not for the good. We were both unhappy and I was doing and saying
things that I wouldn't normally. I no longer felt true to myself... inspiring
the title "Untrue." ….Read More at Music Update Central for the FULL interview HERE
BIOGRAPHY:
The Illinois native, Rylie Bourne,
released her SELF TITLED debut album,
featuring 8 original songs, on Dec 5, 2015 (Amazon UK – UK iTunes – Amazon.com).
The
revered Nashville session musician, Guthrie Trapp, produced the album. Bourne
has spent the last year and a half honing in on her craft, playing shows from
dive bars to CMAfest. Her wide ranges of influences are shown in her songs, but
she is known for a certain sound.
Growing
up in a family of musicians, Bourne sang on her first track at just 7 years
old. She spent most weekends as a child attending bluegrass festivals, which
she now attributes to her ear for harmony. In 2017, she graduated from the
Nashville-based graduate program “Segue 61” where she met her friend and duo
partner, Damon Atkins. The two toured the Midwest and East Coast together this
Fall.
Bourne’s
single “Shoot to Kill” was released on September 1, 2017 (Amazon UK
– UK iTunes – Amazon.com).
The
song represents a raw version of herself that she had yet to show.
Bourne
and Atkins plan to release an EP in 2018.
In
April 2018 the Nashville based singer/songwriter signed with Werk PR for exclusive publicity
representation and geared up for the release of her single due to release in
May 2018.
"Upon
moving to Nashville, it's easy to feel lost. It can be difficult to find a team
of people that you trust and that encourage your individuality," expressed
Rylie. "That is why I look so forward to beginning this journey with Werk
PR! I know they will be such a huge asset to my upcoming releases and I can't
wait to be a part of their family moving forward!"
"We're
super excited to welcome Rylie Bourne to the family at Werk," expressed
Cassie Lynn. "We've followed her journey for a while and we're super
excited about her upcoming releases."
