JUNE LONDON LIVE SHOWS ANNOUNCED

‘Hurts Like Paradise’ is an upbeat country-pop love song reminiscent of the likes of Suzanne Vega, Alanis Morrisette and country-era Taylor Swift.

Regarding the new single Amy says, “'Hurts Like Paradise' is a song I wrote when I was at school. It's kind of a story about a relationship from start to finish, only it's told from the perspective of someone who feels like they're an outsider. I like that there are details in the song which show this character as they talk about their experiences. Even though it's a sad song, I like to juxtapose sad lyrics with upbeat sounds.”
‘Hurts Like Paradise’ follows the release of her acclaimed debut single ‘Undone’ last year, which saw Amy receive support from the likes of 1883, Celeb Mix, C-Heads while being interviewed live on air at London Live and gain strong playlist support from Deezer.
Both songs have been created alongside the multi-platinum selling hit songwriter Matty Benbrook (Paolo Nutini, Jack Savoretti, Dido) who discovered the fresh-faced singer on the London live scene.
Her biggest live show came as support to Jack Savoretti at London’s Cadogan Hall in 2016 and she held a six-week residency at the West End nightspot Mahiki last year.
She has continued to hone her craft by performing at many famous venues in the city such as Ronnie Scott’s, The Troubadour, The Bedford and The Social among others.
Amy has announced two further London shows in June, where she will be returning to play Ronnie Scott’s on June 5th and The Lock Tavern, Camden on June 12th. She has also announced her very first festival appearance and will play the Caffé Nero sessions at The Great Escape Festival on May 18th.
Ever since childhood Amy has been creating rhymes, poems and short stories. For the past six years she has been crafting these ideas into song, writing with the likes of Dee Adam (Diana Vickers, Newton Faulkner), Jess Sherman (Ward Thomas), Pam Sheyne (Christina Aguilera, Corinne Bailey Rae) and Paul Herman (Dido).
Amy comes armed with sharped experience well beyond her years and is an exciting new name on the singer/songwriter scene.
