Carissa Leigh releases Tribute To Troops this Memorial Day Weekend

AXS Hosts Exclusive Listening Party

NASHVILLE, TN. (May 26, 2017)
Just in time for the Memorial Day holiday, talented singer/songwriter, Carissa Leigh, celebrates the release of her charity single "At Night." A haunting tribute to our troops battling PTSD, Carissa will be donating all proceeds from the release to Operation Stand Down. "At Night" was produced by Los Angeles trailblazer, Tone Def (Green Day, Santana, Outkast, Black Eye Peas), and can be found on iTunes and other digital retailers.

AEG owned AXS.com has the audio exclusive HERE.

Carissa explains the inspirations behind the release: " At Night came from conversations I had with someone I was dating about how he might not be in the Middle East any more but sometimes at night, he would wake up and think he was.
He was a big, strong guy, and to see him get emotional inspired me to write about guys like him, who seem okay but sometimes at night, they let their guard down. I wanted to give the proceeds to OSDTN because I know they do amazing work with struggling veterans, actually part of the chorus was inspired by something I saw in their lobby that said "home of the free, because of the brave.""

Operation Stand Down was a natural choice for the Nashville based artist as she spends her free time volunteering with the organization.

2016 found the release of Carissa's 14-song project, "Better Than I've Been."  Showcasing her incredible vocals and autobiographical songwriting skills, the album was produced by Tone Def & can be found HERE on iTunes. Industry and fans first turned their heads to Carissa Leigh with her 2014 debut of "Bad Boy" and then later with "Pack That Bag." Produced by Tyler Cain (Meghan Linsey, James Otto, Ashley Monroe) and co-written by Leigh and J.T. Hodges“Pack That Bag” impacted over 5 million country fans.

ABOUT CARISSA LEIGH:

An eclectic music lover, Carissa Leigh grew up listening to Dolly Parton in one ear and The Allman Brothers Band in the other.

Her grandfather was a die-hard Country fan, while her father’s loyalties lie with rock 'n' roll. Both influenced Carissa growing up, but as the years went by it was the sounds of Shania Twain and Keith Urban that she found making their way into her own music.

So it's of no surprise that she ended up in Nashville. Industry and fans first turned their heads to this promising new voice with the 2014 release of her EP Blackbird, which landed her a feature in Billboard.

  1. Hello , I’m sorry my writing is not so good, it’s not my first language. Anyway, my Girlfriend broke up with me after 2 years of relationship, everything was great until 6 months ago. She started changing, she broke up with me once, then we got back together, and the again, she broke up with me. Every time she gave me different reasons, the last one was “I want you near but as a friend” and then she ask me to be apart from her for at least 6 months because, according to her, she is toxic and I’ll be better without her because she can’t provide me what I deserve (Someone who actually loves me and wants to be with me for the rest of my life) , she told me that if after that time I still want to be friends with her,I can contact her. But here is the thing, I got to know that another guy took her from me. I didn’t want to be just friends. I was planning to take those 6 months for myself, but I wanted her back so bad. I talked with Akin on his Whats-app +2347087485714 and he told me what to do and he did his prayers and I got my Girlfriend back in two days. I'm so happy right now :) . You can contact him for help in any relationship or marriage problems, He's sure to help :)
