Nashville,
TN - July 24, 2017 - Faster Horses Festival shot out of the gate just five
short years ago, and in its fifth year proved why “with its youthful crowds and
freewheeling atmosphere" the three-day hillbilly sleepover is now
considered a "party fixture on the summer calendar,” (Detroit
Free Press). Descending upon Brooklyn, MI, the town is transformed each
summer as fans establish unbreakable bonds amongst their campsite communities,
while artists look forward to enjoying the electric atmosphere emitting
throughout the festival grounds.

As Billboard aptly
points out, "Faster Horses is not just another music festival.” Continuing
“from the moment things got started on the Next From Nashville stage at 1:30
p.m. EST, every performer expressed their excitement for being there whether it
was their Faster Horses debut or they'd played it before… and even though the
festival is still relatively new, celebrating its fifth year in 2017, it
definitely has a personality: From camo to every American flag item you can
imagine, there's definitely no denying that Faster Horses is a country
festival.”
Friday’s headliner Dierks Bentley returned with
an unforgettable set to celebrate Faster Horses Festival’s fifth year
anniversary, having played its inaugural year. Bentley sat down with festival
creator and President of Country Touring at Live Nation, Brian O’Connell, ahead
of his performance to reflect on how the event has grown during Faster Horses Live, streamed by PEOPLE Country and available to watch here.

The
second day, dubbed by MLive as a "a
state-of-the-art down-home jamboree” welcomed headliner Miranda Lambert, as
“the country superstar performed a reliably feisty set to close out the
festival's second day for more than 40,000 fans still going strong after a hot
day of partying.”
Embracing
all that Faster Horses has to offer, in addition to an unrivaled lineup,
campers came out in droves for the fringe activities taking place across the
weekend, including Sunday’s Faster Humans Race that saw fans race around
Michigan International Speedway as part of the now annual fun run. The
memorable weekend, filled with reflective moments, came to a close as headliner
Luke Bryan, who also played its first year, took the stage to a roaring
reception that showcased why Faster Horses encompasses "how country
feels” (Detroit News). Fans unable to attend the festivities
can catch the full Faster Horses experience on CMT Hot 20 Countdown airing
this Saturday (7/29 at 9:00A ET on CMT).
