Beth Keeping has dropped her new EP ‘Fool’ on
Friday 20th April.
FOOL is Keeping’s first
record as a solo artist and was recorded in Nashville, USA last year.
The EP features 5 beautifully crafted songs
that draw equally from her love of modern pop melodies and traditional country
storytelling.
Release Date: 20 April 2018
Label: Beth Keeping
5 Tracks
Time: 18:03
Genre: Singer/Songwriter Pop/Country
She says:
“I’ve spent a few years writing for other artists, so it’s very exciting to finally release my own project. We recorded it in a studio out in the mountains around Nashville – it was an incredible experience and the musicians were world-class. I can’t wait for everyone to hear the finished result.”
Listeners who pre-ordered the EP received her latest single Strangers in the Same City immediately.
The upbeat but emotive pop-country track navigates the complexity of breaking up with someone in a big city and is accompanied by a stunning music video shot around London.
The Surrey
singer-songwriter will celebrate the EP release with a launch show at the Zigfrid von Underbelly in London (106
Parkway, NW1 7AN) on Monday 30th
April.
The following week she embarks on the ‘Write
Like A Girl’ tour with fellow country artists Emily Faye and Vic Allen.
The UK tour, which runs throughout May, aims to put the spotlight back on women
in music, particularly female songwriters. See BLOG POST

ABOUT

Beth
Keeping grew up in Woking, the place that inspired the hit song 'Town Called
Malice' by the Jam. As a teenager Beth was inspired into music by
singer-songwriters such as Delta Goodrem, John Mayer and Martyn Joseph. After
university she began busking on the streets of London and writing for other
artists in the UK and abroad.
Today
Keeping combines her love of storytelling and pop melodies to create music that
speaks into and about real situations. Her first single No Hard Feelings came out
of the time she spent recovering from an 8-month injury, which inspired her to
write more authentically about life and identity.
In
the past year her search for new lyrical stories and influences has taken her
to Ireland, Estonia and all over America. Her debut EP 'FOOL dropped 20th April 2018.
