Carrie Underwood to release her new album, CRY PRETTY, on September 14th


CAPITOL NASHVILLE's Carrie Underwood will release her new album, CRY PRETTY, on Friday, September 14th. The project marks Underwood's first studio album release on CAPITOL since signing with UMG NASHVILLE last MARCH (March 28, 2017).

Lead Single and Title Track is No.1 Most Added Single at Country Radio and Has Already Topped iTunes Top Songs Charts in 12 Countries

Multi-platinum global superstar Carrie Underwood will release CRY PRETTY, her first studio album on Capitol Records Nashville on September 14.  The title track and lead single was released worldwide on April 11 and is the most added song at Country radio this week. 
With a No.20 bow on Billboard Country Airplay chart (dated April 21, 2018) it snagged Hot Shot Debut, Most Increased Audience and Most Added stripes logging 10.733 million audience impression, 1,619 radio spins thanks to 87 fresh radio commitments (ADDS).

On the Mediabase Country Aircheck chart it logged 4,069 points with 1,570 plays and 12.043 million audience impressions thanks to 121 ADDS.
Cry Pretty” has already topped the iTunes Top Songs charts in 12 countries and quickly racked up over 1.3 million streams in the U.S. with only two days of reporting.

In addition to co-writing the single with Hillary Lindsey, Lori McKenna, and Liz Rose (aka The Love Junkies), Carrie is co-producing her album with fellow writer/producer David Garcia.
Underwood says, “At this point in my career, I feel stronger and more creative than ever.  I think you can hear that in this new album.  It’s emotional, it’s soulful, it’s real, and we also have some fun on there too.  I hope everyone loves it as much as I have loved making it.” 
On Sunday night at the 53rd Annual Academy of Country Music Awards™, Underwood took home her 14th career ACM Award for Vocal Event of the Year for “The Fighter,” her collaboration with Keith Urban, after bringing the audience to their feet with her emotional performance of “Cry Pretty.”  Billboard ranked the “vocal dynamo” performance as the best of the night, touting “this is how you do an award show performance” while Rolling Stone noted that Underwood “channeled her inner country-soul diva” during the “knockout rendition.”

SOME HEARTS (Arista Nashville, 19) released Nov 15, 2005; debuted on the Billboard 200 list at No. 2 with debut sales 315,000. It was certified GOLD & PLATINUM by the R.I.A.A on Dec 9, 2005, 2X Platinum on January 6, 2006 and on October 24, 2016 it was certified 8x Multi-Platinum (8 Million units).    

CARNIVAL RIDE released Oct 23, 2007 debuted at No.1 on the Billboard 200 and Top Country Albums with debut sales of 527,000. It was certified Gold & Platinum on Dec 13, 2007 and by October 24, 2016 was 4x Multi-Platinum (4 Million units).

STORYTELLER (19/Arista Nashville/Sony Music Nashville) released Oct 23, 2015, made a debut at No.2 on the Billboard 200 with her new album, logging 177,000 equivalent-album units with 164,212 in pure album sales. It debuted at No.2 on both Top Album Sales and Digital Albums behind Australian pop rock band 5 Seconds of Summer. It was certified Platinum on Oct 24, 2016 (1 Million units).
