Ones To Watch for 2019
Sarah Darling’s record ‘WONDERLAND’
will be released March 1st 2019.
Singer-songwriter
Sarah Darling’s new album ‘Wonderland’ (due for release March 1st)
is now available for pre-order PledgeMusic. The pre-order is released on the
eve of her two London dates, the first tonight (Oct 26th) at
London’s Bush Hall in support of Country Music Week, and the second, tomorrow
(Oct 27th) at London’s Borderline. Fans who pre-order the album will
be treated to a free download of an acoustic version of ‘A Little Bit Of Rain’.
Upon
starting work on the record, Sarah knew it was to be an international affair.
Calling the UK her “second home”, the Nashville based singer set out to embrace
everything the island had to offer, by working with top producers Mark Bright
(Carrie Underwood & Rascal Flatts), Ash Howes (Dido, Goulding, &
Kylie), Pete Hammerton (Wandering Hearts, Twinnie), and Jim Eliot (Goulding,
Kylie, Christina Perri).
The
contemporary, anglicised country music sound Sarah has created with the
producers for ‘Wonderland’ is certainly a love letter to the UK, “Being
able to make a record in the place where my love story first started completely
feels meant to be. After falling in love with the UK and touring here over the
years, I wanted to make an album that allowed me to collaborate with writers
and producers over here. This album reflects this great adventures I’ve been
on, and I’m so excited to share this new sound with all of you.”
Next year, Sarah celebrates 10
years since her debut album‘Every
Monday Morning’ and with it, transitions into the busiest time of her life.
With her elevation to household-name nearly certain, fans expecting ‘Dream
Country 2.0’ will be pleasantly surprised to find ‘Wonderland’ is so much more
than that. Presented on the grandest scale ever, Sarah Darling is an artist
whose musical songwriting and honesty in her lyrics is unrelenting in its
quality.
As well as ‘Dream Country’ reaching number 2 the iTunes UK country charts, Sarah has played a multitude of her own headline concerts, toured with her signature ‘Night in Nashville’ shows, opened for the chart-topping Ward Thomas and performed at the C2C: Country to Country festival in 2016 and 2017. 2017 also saw her play a number of UK festivals including Black Deer, British Summer Time, Symmertyne and Cottingham Folk Festival. Stateside Sarah has played the CMA Festival in Nashville, toured with stadium fillers Carrie Underwood, Kacey Musgraves, Vince Gill and Tim McGraw, and performed at the Grand Ole Opry 89 times.
Sarah was nominated for 2017 “International Artist of The Year” by the
British Country Music Awards and returned in March 2018 her largest UK headline
tour yet. Over the span of her career, she has had over 7million Spotify
streams, and has made appearances on TBS’ CONAN, FOX & Friends, HLN Morning
Express with Robin Meade, ABC’s The Bachelor, ITV and more. Sarah partnered
with the state of Wyoming to create a video for track “Where Cowboys Ride” that
was featured on CMT.
