2019, the C2C organisers are offering the chance to attend an exclusive event at C2C with UK
Country music pioneers, Ward Thomas!
With
the new album, RESTLESS MINDS recently
topping the UK Country Charts, twin sisters Catherine and Lizzy would love to
give fans the chance to join them at C2C for an intimate album playback!
Blurb:
Ward Thomas have been at the forefront of the ever-growing UK country scene,
rising alongside the likes of The Shires and Catherine McGrath. On Restless Minds, they continue to blend
their style with the hooks of pop, for a sound filled with genuine heart. The
release of Restless Minds precedes a full UK headline tour which kicks off at
the end of February and runs through to April 2019.
The
event will feature acoustic performances,
a Q&A with the band, and special guests joining them on stage.

Ward Thomas, non-identical 24-year-old twins from Hampshire) made a debut at No.8 on the Official UK Top 100 Albums Chart (Week Ending
21 Feb 2019)
sales
of 7,095 copies.
The
contemporary country duo logged the fifth
biggest sales debut for an album tagged country.
Additionally,
it landed them a No.1 on the Official UK Country Album Top 20 (Week Ending

28 February 2019) RESTLESS MINDS fell
8-86 (1,345 sales; down 81%) and in the lastest
chart (dated 7
March 2019) it had fallen off the Top 100 from previous weeks No.86 (estimated
sales 800; 3-week estimated total 9,240). By comparison their last album Cartwheels
held at 2 weeks at #5 with 3-week total sales of 27,350.
According to the blurb the new album: “firmly establishes Ward Thomas as leading exponents of new wave country tinged pop”.
#BeyondNashville “We never consciously tried to
be country,” Lizzy says. “We love country
but we’ve always set out to simply write songs that suit the content. The
country artists we listen to now are the ones mixing it up and moving the genre
on – Maren Morris and Kacey Musgraves in
particular. But we also love Lorde, Cardi B, Haim and Julia
Michaels.”
RESTLESS MINDS features 15 tracks
written in Nashville, London and Hampshire with previous collaborators Jessica
Sharman, Rebekah Powell and Martin Terefe (Shawn
Mendes) in addition to Ed Drewitt (Little Mix), Rachel
Furner (Craig David) and Steve Robson (Paloma Faith).
The album was produced in London
by Martin Terefe and Joe Rubel (Ed Sheeran).
