Possessing a ‘supremely rare
kind of voice’ (BBC Radio 2) Martyna’s smooth and soothing vocals are
instantly recognisable and unique but Martyna freelyacknowledges
she is influenced by the greats: Carole King, Carly Simon, Bonnie Raitt as
well as inspirational and talented peers such as Sarah McLachlan and Alison
Krauss.
Having already received high
praise from prominent country singer Angaleena Presley, and two-time Grammy
nominee Beth Nielsen Chapman calling one of her songs ‘A future song of
the year contender’, Martyna’s latest work is her strongest and
most personal to date.
The forthcoming EP ‘The
Collector’ sees her champion a message of self-belief and spiritual faith at a
time when many people feel disconnected and in search of something
bigger. It encourages the listener to look beyond the surface to discover
what makes each of us perfectly unique. The single ’Bigger Things’ epitomises
that message, as Martyna says:
I wrote ‘Bigger Things’ as a
pause button for anyone who might be about to give up on something. It can be
so easy to give in to the negative voice in our head and to throw in the
towel when we can't see the bigger plan and how far we have already come.
Bigger Things is about letting the dust settle, taking a breath and trusting
that we're on the right path even when it feels like we're failing. I hope
this song makes its way to anyone that needs a moment to rediscover their
self-belief and helps them find the strength to battle their own inner
wolves.
Inspirational and spiritually
uplifting, Martyna’s music seeks to heal as well as to entertain. Something
that we all need in the challenging times in which we live.
