ICYMI: Following a successful single launch show at London's
Green Note in January Florence Sommerville’snew single '(I’ll Be Your) Best Broken Heart’
dropped on January 24, 2025.
Delivered with the charm and ease of a Nashville veteran,
‘(I’ll Be Your) Best Broken Heart’ is a glimpse into the promising future of
the 20-year-old singer-songwriter and taken from her forthcoming debut album
due later this year. Florence Sommerville, a singer-songwriter from the small
village of Orsett in Essex, thrives on modern country music. She’s been playing
guitar since she was eight years old, writing songs since she was 12, and
performed at open mics for most of her teenage years. When she was 14, she
reached the final of the Open Mic UK competition held at the O2 Indigo Arena in
London. She’s also played at several major festivals, including Latitude,
Moseley Folk and Arts Festival, Maverick Festival, AMA Music Week (Nashville)
and many listening venues around southern England.
(4 Feb 2025) Girl band Remember
Monday, consisting of Lauren Byrne, Holly-Anne Hull, and Charlotte
Steele, have been announced as the UK's Eurovision act for 2025,
according to The Sun. The event
will take place in May this year.
Remember Monday first appeared on The Voice UK in 2019,
coached by Jennifer Hudson. During their blind audition, all four judges -
Jennifer Hudson, Will.i.am, Tom Jones, and Olly Murs - turned their chairs. They performed Seal's "Kiss from a Rose" and
advanced to the knockouts with their original song "Jailbreaker." BBC
Radio 2 Breakfast host Scott Mills also noticed them when they were played on
the station last year.
The trio has performed at several prominent UK events,
including Country to Country and The Long Road. They have also conducted their
own UK tour following a sold-out headline show in London.
Last summer the trio also supported Billy Joel and
Natasha Bedingfield at British SummerTime Festival in Hyde Park.
Remember Monday has accumulated 77,000 followers on
Instagram and 524,000 followers on TikTok.

(7 Feb 2025) “UK's Answer To Brothers Osborne"
Wood Burnt Red Announce Highly-Anticipated New Single: After a stellar 2024
that saw them perform at high-profile festivals and solidify their reputation
as one of the most exciting acts in country music, Wood
Burnt Redare kicking off 2025 in
style. The band’s new single, "Where You Are Now," dropped
7th Feb 2025 (as of Feb 28 it has received 1900 streams on Spotify). This marks
the first of a handful of new tracks they’ll be unveiling throughout the year,
giving fans plenty to look forward to. Stream it HERE
Lead vocalist Tom Franklin shared, “I wrote this song
after witnessing a close friendship fall apart at the seams. When you see
someone close to you being used and manipulated over and over again, but they
can’t see it until it’s too late! When they rely on that relationship because
it’s few and far between, and they cherish it because it’s someone to turn to
and confide in. To then find out you meant nothing to them, and they just drop
you because it doesn’t suit them, especially in a desperate time of need…
that’s some real nasty shit. And I had to get it down on paper.”
The band “are beyond stoked” to be heading to the O2
Arena London in March for C2C Country To Country.

Billboard’s
Country Airplay Chart News
Shaboozey’s “A
Bar Song (Tipsy)” (American Dogwood/EMPIRE/Magnolia Music) continued
its record run in the top 10 of Billboard’s Country Airplay
chart (dated Feb. 15). The song added a 32nd week in the tier, extending the
longest top 10 residency since the survey began in January 1990. The track
surpassed Dustin Lynch’s “Thinking ’Bout You” (featuring MacKenzie Porter),
which spent 28 weeks in the Country Airplay top 10, including six at No. 1,
starting in October 2021. “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” — currently at No.6
on Country Airplay — drew 20.5 million audience impressions Jan.31-Feb.6,
according to Luminate. The song, co-authored by the Virginian born Collins
Obinna Chibueze, ruled for seven weeks beginning last August. It bested Carrie
Underwood’s “Jesus, Take the Wheel,” which logged six weeks at No.1 in 2006, as
the longest-leading hit to establish a country career (encompassing acts’ first
Country Airplay entries as a lead artist or their initial songs promoted to
country radio). “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” also became the first song to crossover to
the top 10 on Country Airplay, Pop Airplay, Adult Pop Airplay, Adult
Contemporary and Rhythmic Airplay. It has led the all-genre Radio Songs chart
for a record shattering 27 weeks and counting, breaking out of a tie with The
Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights.” Plus, “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” has topped Hot Country
Songs for 33 weeks through the list dated Feb. 8. It’s the
third-longest-leading No. 1 since the multimetric chart became the genre’s
singular songs survey in 1958. Sam Hunt’s “Body Like a Back Road” led for
34weeks beginning in February 2017, while Bebe Rexha and Florida Georgia Line’s
“Meant To Be” dominated for 50 weeks starting in December 2017.

GOSSIP
(4 Feb 2024) Kacey Musgraves has shut down a rumour suggesting she has
beef with Beyoncé.
The Golden Hour singer lost out to the Texas Hold 'Em hitmaker for the
Best Country Album prize at the 2025 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday
night.
But on Monday, a clip began to circulate on social media showing Kacey
with a stoic expression on her face in the seconds after Beyoncé was announced
as the winner for her eighth studio album, Cowboy Carter.
Some followers speculated the country star was upset she lost out on the
prize, even though later footage also depicts her standing up, clapping, and
smiling. Accordingly, the 36-year-old's representative shot down the rumour in
a statement issued to E! News.
"It's a sensationalistic false narrative meant to pit two talented
female artists against each other," they commented. "There was simply
no scowl or expression made."
Chris Stapleton, Lainey Wilson, and Post Malone were also nominated in
the Best Country Album category.
However, Kacey didn't go home empty-handed - she won Best Country Song
for The Architect during the ceremony.
(6 Feb 2025) Shaboozey
revealed Beyoncé advised him to “just be yourself” while
recording for ‘Cowboy Carter’. The 29-year-old singer featured on two tracks of
her Grammy-winning country album, ‘Sweet Honey Buckiin’’ and ‘Spaghettii’.
The ‘A Bar Song (Tipsy)’ singer admitted he was nervous in
the studio, feeling he wasn't as skilled a vocalist as Beyoncé. He told PEOPLE:
"When recording her songs, I thought, 'I can't do these runs' or 'I'm
nowhere near the performer Beyoncé is,' which got into my head."

(7 Feb 2025) GRAMMY® Award
nominated singer/songwriterRyan Hurd announced
his sophomore album, Midwest Rock & Roll, out March 21 via
Big Machine Records. Co-penning all 12 tracks on the new project, Hurd provides
listeners with a cinematic snapshot of heartland dreamers, paying homage to his
midwestern roots and exploring the aftermath of leaving his home behind in
chase of a dream.
“Midwest Rock & Roll is
my second full length album, and I am really proud of how it sounds, what it
says, and how it ended up being released,” shares Hurd. “It’s a
coming-of-age album that feels like playing in your first band.”
In his new track “Die For It,”
out today, Hurd is leaving no stone unturned in his exploration of what it
means to truly love someone. The award-winning singer/songwriter takes
listeners through the emotional range of a relationship from the highest highs
to the lowest lows, with special emphasis on love’s contradictory nature.
Written by Hurd alongside Mark Holman and Randy Montana, “Die For It”
acknowledges that, in giving your entire self to someone, you’re giving them
the good, the bad and the ugly. As time goes on and the honeymoon phase
subsides, a relationship becomes about more than just feeling love for someone
– it becomes about the active choice to love them every day for every part of
themself.

(7 Feb 2025) On new single “It's
The Little Things,” Charles Wesley
Godwinhas written an ode to
the simple joys in life. The first sip of coffee in the morning. Taking the
extra second to hold the door for someone. Driving around town listening to the
radio. Even a quick smile and wave. The types of things so often overlooked in
our busy modern lives, but little moments that can make folks' lives just a
little bit better. The melody and lyrics came to Godwin one morning in the
shower, and he fine-tuned it into the three-minute and fifty-second earworm
that is a centerpiece of his latest project, the stunning, seven-song Lonely
Mountain Town EP, out Feb. 28. Lonely Mountain Town vinyl
pre-order has started. Listen to “It's The Little Things” here.

Country artist Robby Johnsonis thrilled to unveil his brand-new single, “TGIF”,
just in time for Valentine’s Day! Premiered by Coda Country,
“TGIF” (Thank God It’s Friday) is a cleverly crafted drinking anthem
masquerading as a love song. At first listen, the track feels like a heartfelt
tribute to a long-lost love, but as the story unfolds, it becomes clear that
the true object of devotion isn’t a person—it’s an ice-cold beer. Johnson plays
with expectations, setting the stage with emotionally charged verses hinting at
romance, only to reveal the real Friday night affair with a well-earned drink.
With cheeky lyrics, the song delivers a playful twist that will have listeners
