Midwest Rock & Roll is my second full length album, and I am really proud of how it sounds, what it says, and how it ended up being released,” shares Hurd. “It’s a coming-of-age album that feels like playing in your first band.”

In his new track “Die For It,” Hurd is leaving no stone unturned in his exploration of what it means to truly love someone. The award-winning singer/songwriter takes listeners through the emotional range of a relationship from the highest highs to the lowest lows, with special emphasis on love’s contradictory nature. Written by Hurd alongside Mark Holman and Randy Montana, “Die For It” acknowledges that, in giving your entire self to someone, you’re giving them the good, the bad and the ugly. As time goes on and the honeymoon phase subsides, a relationship becomes about more than just feeling love for someone – it becomes about the active choice to love them every day for every part of themself.

“‘Die For It’ is a song about love in all forms,” says Hurd. “I love the way this track sounds and how much it informs the rest of my album, and I hope my fans really love the direction that my music is taking.”

With ‘Midwest Rock & Roll,' Ryan Hurd cements himself as a standout voice in contemporary country music, seamlessly blending rock, country, and pop while delivering songs that feel both deeply personal and universally relatable. This album isn’t just a collection of radio-friendly hits—it’s a reflection on love, loss, youth, and the road that brought him here. It’s his most mature, fully realised work to date, proving that he’s not just a great songwriter—he’s an artist with something meaningful to say.4 STARS James Daykin EF Country

On Monday February 10th, Hurd performed his first show in the UK in nearly 7 years with a special one-off acoustic show at The Lower Third in London. While in town, Hurd also made a stop at the iconic Abbey Road Studios to record something very special.

“London is an amazing music city. The fans are so great and appreciate songwriting so much; it’s a blessing to be able to share a night with them,” shared Hurd in February. “I’m so excited to get the opportunity to even just see Abbey Road, and to record there is a bucket list moment.”
