Morgan Wade has released her brand-new single ‘Left Me Behind,’ the
third offering from her forthcoming album The Party is Over
(recovered),set for release on August 1st.
Building on mounting anticipation for the upcoming project, today’s release
draws listeners further into Morgan’s musical journey on the road to her
full-length release.

An acoustic-forward, emotive ballad, ‘Left Me Behind’ is a
lamentation of lost love. “And I go back to a March night/When I kissed
you underneath street lights”, Morgan reminisces. “And all
your bottles in my floorboard/Hey baby, why don’t you want me no more?” With
poignant vulnerability, Morgan explores the pain of abandonment and heartbreak.
‘Left Me Behind’ arrives following the excitement of several singles released
by Morgan earlier this year. Most recently, Morgan unveiled the album’s title
track ‘The Party Is Over’, an anthemic, guitar-driven track that
explores her lingering feelings in the aftermath of a relationship. The song
was released alongside an accompanying music video that provides cinematic
depiction of heartbreak and a perfect visual representation of a “relationship
hangover.” Watch the music video for ‘The Party Is Over’ HERE.
In March, Wade released the first single off the album, titled ‘East
Coast’. Originally introduced to fans during her live shows, the
single arrived alongside an accompanying music video, aptly filmed on the
coastline with powerful imagery.
One of Nashville’s most critically acclaimed stars, Morgan Wade stands alone in
her ability to dissect and examine human emotion through her visceral
songwriting.
Her 2024 album, Obsessed, was a solo-written
opus, which No Depression celebrated, “She’s without a
doubt one of the finest singers in country and Americana music today, and this
album is her best yet.” Now, Wade readies The Party is Over
(recovered), a collection of songs old and new that continues the
intense exploration of her psyche’s recesses that she again wrote solo. As
ever, the results are thrilling. Arriving Aug. 1, The Party Is Over
(recovered) connects Wade’s past and present, showing she hasn’t lost
an ounce of her dedication to shining a light into the dark places where the
truth hides out. Rounding out Wade’s lauded discography are her
debut Reckless (which Rolling Stone declared
the Best Country Album of the Year upon release) and second album Psychopath,
which was spotlighted by The New York Times, Los Angeles
Times, People, Tennessean, Variety, and
many more.
Having toured with the likes of Chris Stapleton, Eric
Church, Luke Combs, American Aquarium, Lucero, and many more, Wade recently
wrapped her opening stint with Alanis Morissette and Joan Jett on the TRIPLE
MOON TOUR and currently on the road with Shinedown for their DANCE KID DANCE
TOUR. She is a Forbes 30 Under 30 honouree.
