With
comparisons to Taylor Swift, LeAnn Rimes
and Britney Spears following a recent
sold- out gig in Germany the newspapers (Instagram | Facebook) were hailing her as ‘the
UK’s answer to Taylor Swift’.
Vocally,
Megan Louise has also been compared to LeAnn Rimes and the similarities don’t
end there, both girls went to vocal and dance classes from a very young age and
both started their careers in Musical
Theatre, Meg at the age of seven in ‘Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’ in her
hometown at the Liverpool Empire.
Megan
Louise - Introducing Megan Louise:
Between the ages of 11-13 Meg grabbed every opportunity at performing in front of a ‘live’ audience and continued to write songs. It was during this time many people mentioned the country tone in her voice. This encouraged her to start listening to other Country Artists and she was hooked – major influences include, Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, The Shires, Maddie & Tae, Kelsea Ballerini, Dolly Parton and Rascal Flatts.
When
she performed on the ‘Voice Kids’ at
the age of 14 – Will.i.am said she reminded him of ‘a younger Britney Spears’.
Her appearance on ‘Voice Kids’ made her even more determined to make music her
life. (* Megan was on The Voice Kids in Nov 2017 (Photo) but the BBC didn't air her
performance)
Megan
Louise has been fortunate to have recorded in many studios, sung on albums for
other artists and performing ‘live’ in the UK and now Europe. Not forgetting
the importance of education Meg has been balancing her music and education, as
she has just completed her GCSE’s.

And now Megan Louise is now excited to be releasing her own 3-track EP in August recorded recently at Parr Street Studios (33-45 Parr St Liverpool, Merseyside L1 4JN - Coldplay, Elbow and Take That) and produced by Steve Dinwoodie.
Other
UK country acts to record at Parr Street (* under the guidance of BCMA Award
2016 Musician of the year Justin Johnson) have
included: Raintown, Narn, Blue Genes, Samantha Lloyd, Sam Hollyman, Mike Ward,
Angie King, Acoustic Journey, Thorne
Hill, Dahlia, Jade Helliwell, Darcy, Southern Junction, Hollie Barrie (from The
Voice UK), Emma Moore, Kira Mac and Jeannine Barry.
