takes on a similar theme as 2012 set Penilee
Songs as it’s dedicated to her Gran, Mary, and is partially inspired by her
gran’s battle with dementia and Alzheimer’s.
The
new album touches on many aspects of life, love & loss, coming of age, her
aunts battle with cancer and her grans battles too. This album has already
caught the attention of the BBC and the hearts of many, as she has offered
music that people can truly relate to and connect with through her portrayal of
the real issues people face.

2012: She released a 12-track album PENILEE SONGS on March 1, 2012 (Amazon Rank: # 252,459 #332,854 in Albums #9719 Country Digital Albums). It was declared Album of the Year winner (Fatea Music). It was dedicated to her grandmother, ‘Granny Green’ after Emma found an old recording from 1959 of the family singing in auntie Nellies flat in Penilee, Glasgow.
2013:
After her third digital release, earlier in 2013, and a small tour of America,
Emma Jane signed a worldwide publishing deal with Speegra. She released the 5 Track EP SILVER STREETS on June 17, 2013. (Amazon Rank

She moved to London and performed mostly solo acoustic gigs in some of the most popular
unsigned live music venues such as The Bedford, The Troubadour, 100 Club,
Borderline and Barfly.

Sunday 3rd August 2014 Emma played the famed Bluebird Café along with Canadian CCMA Award winning singer
songwriter Victoria Banks.

2014 saw Glasgow born
singer/songwriter Emma Jane join forces with the artist Cee
Martinez (a painter, writer, and musician) from Golden, Colorado, for her
fourth release the 7 track EP WORKHORSE which was self-released on 17th July 2014 ( UK iTunes - Amazon UK Rank: #330,409 in
Albums; #9654 in Digital Country Albums)
The
collaboration with EJ and Cee was said to ensure that “workhorse is not only musically wonderful, but visually stunning.”
