On Tuesday (May 28), multi-PLATINUM selling performer Brett Young, celebrated the catapulting success of his fifth consecutive No. One single “Here Tonight,” alongside co-writers Ben Caver, Justin Ebach and Charles Kelley.
Hosted by ASCAP and SESAC at Nashville’s The Sutler packed with BMLG Records, teammates, family and friends, the lead single from Young’s TICKET TO L.A. (BMLG Records) touts multi-week chart-topping status and has quickly surpassed 100 million streams in the US. “Here Tonight” serves as the first-ever No. One as a songwriter for Ben Caver (ASCAP), fourth for Justin Ebach (SESAC) and eighth for Charles Kelley (ASCAP). Additionally, this week, Young shared the highly-anticipated follow-up single, “Catch,” with country radio. The irresistible song “soars” (Taste of Country) with "emotional balladry” (UpRoxx) and was co-written by Young, Ross Copperman and Ashley Gorley.

according to Nielsen Music (down 1% compared to the previous week).
When
debuted at No. 1 on the chart dated April 13, then slipped to No. 2 for the
next two frames. It jumped back to No.
for a week on May 4, then ranked at Nos. 4-2-2-3 for the next four weeks
before returning to No. 1 for a third frame on the new chart.

Combs’ collection claimed a solo share of the fourth-longest reign in
the chart’s 55-year history, one-upping the rule of Dixie Chicks’ 1999
album Fly.

Morgan Wallen with “Whiskey
Glasses” rebounded 2-1 on the Hot Country Songs chart topping
the tally for a second total week after first leading the May 18-dated list.
“Whiskey” increased by 7% to 12.8 million U.S. streams in
the week ending May 30 and held at its No. 2 high on Country Streaming Songs.
It also maintains its No. 2 best on Country Digital Song Sales, with 15,000
downloads sold (up 7%) in the same period.
“Whiskey” dethroned Blake
Shelton’s “God’s Country”
(Warner Music Nashville) atop Hot Country Songs, although the latter tune,
which dropped to No. 2 after two weeks on top, ruled both Country Streaming Songs
and Country Digital Song Sales for a second week on the former (13.5 million
streams, up 7%) and an eighth frame on the latter (23,000 sold, down 7%).
The Hot Country Songs top
10 included two female artists
(SHOCK!), each unaccompanied by other acts, for the first time in over
two-and-a-half years.
Kelsea Ballerini with “Miss
Me More” (Black River) pushed 10-9, propelled by its 6% bumped
to 31.6 million in audience, as it ranks at No. 3 on Country Airplay.
Plus, Maren Morris’ “Girl” (Columbia Nashville) hopped 11-10,
returning to the Hot Country Songs top 10 for the first time since March 23,
when it reached No. 9.
“Girl” pushes 10-9 on Country Airplay (22.2 million impressions,
up 6%).
Women hold two spots in the Hot Country Songs top 10 for
the first time since the April 6-dated chart, when Bebe Rexha and Florida
Georgia Line’s “Meant to Be” and Ballerini’s “More” placed at Nos. 3 and 8,
respectively.
The last time until this week that two women each with
no co-billed acts shared space in the Hot Country Songs top 10? Oct. 1,
2016, when Ballerini’s “Peter Pan” and Miranda Lambert’s “Vice” were stationed
at, respectively, Nos. 1 and 7

8), increasing by 7% to 41.2 million audience impressions in the week ending
June 2, according to Nielsen Music.

— written by Ben Burgess and Kevin Kadish — Wallen netted his second Country
Airplay No.1. “Up Down,” featuring Florida Georgia Line, led nearly a year ago
(June 30, 2018).

dreamed I’d be celebrating a No.1 song, so the fact that this is two in a row
is mindblowing to me,” Wallen told Billboard. “I’m thankful for everyone

2018). He last led the list with “Record Year” in August 2016.
