One of UK country music’s biggest rising stars Jeannine Barry is to follow up her hugely successful radio hits ‘Sweet Spot' (UK Country iTunes Singles Chart #47 peak; See BLOG) and ‘Bittersweet’ (iTunes; 2,450 Spotify streams) with a highly anticipated new single ‘Love Just Hurts’.

Released on June 28th, ‘Love Just Hurts’ will be the first of a string of singles to be released from a forthcoming debut album that is eagerly awaited by fans and industry.

Release Date: 28 June 2019

Label: Jeannine Barry

Time: 3:42

Genres: Country

Following the success of the last 2 singles, Jeannine and her band have played a raft of live shows across the country, including Black Deer Festival and Europe’s largest Country festival, Country2Country (six appearances at C2C2018), at the O2 in London. Jeannine also recorded a special 'Under The Apple Tree' (See BLOG) session for BBC Radio 2's Bob Harris.

Jeannine said that she felt ready to take her music to the next level with a new sound with this latest release:
I wanted to make music without rushing it, and to create something special to me that I could really feel proud of because of the way it was true to me. When Robert Leech, who wrote several songs on the Wandering Hearts album, contacted me to write after seeing us play at Country2Country we worked so well together that several of the songs we wrote ended up on the new release which will make up the first part of my debut album.”

Love Just Hurts is the first single to come out of that and it has been a magical experience overall, especially when Jim Kimball, who works with country legend Reba McEntire, got involved and offered to mix the track. I can’t wait to share the song with everyone.”

‘Love Just Hurts’ will be supported by a host of live shows including Buryfields Festival (June 15, 2019;
The Bury Manor House, Church Street, Chesham, Buckinghamshire, HP5 1BG), Green Meadows Festival  (Sat 10 August 2019 Website; Elton, Peterborough PE8 6SJ) and The British Country Music Festival (Sept 13-15, 2019 BLOGS) with Ward Thomas, as well as a headline show in London.

Jeannine shared with her fans: It would be absolutely love to see you all downloading the song when it's out and to hear what you think of it.
