This recording was done at the Legendary Studio" Music City" and recorded by Scotty Moore, Elvis Presely's guitar player. Classic Country radio has been giving substantial airplay to "Me and Bobby McGee," made famous by Janice Joplin. The CD also includes a a new version of Riley's iconic hit "Harper Valley PTA," a 1968 country and pop hit written by Tom T. Hall which missed (by one week) becoming the Billboard Country and Pop number one hit at the same time.

“Music City Sessions” consists of tracks that have not been heard for decades and never commercially released. The tracks were recorded in Nashville for broadcast use only and have been hidden from the public. The original authentic sound is respected and supplemented with updated instruments and background vocals, to bring the new recordings into the contemporary country era. These recordings are a follow up to Country Rewind Records previous releases of such greats as Conway Twitty, Waylon Jennings, Connie Smith and more which received great reviews by music critics everywhere.

Country Rewind Records, Thomas Gramuglia, rescued the master tapes which have been in storage for nearly 50 years. John Jungklaus handled the original master tape transfers. Jeannie C. Riley, “The Music City Sessions,” was produced by Grammy Award Winner, J. R. McNeely and Larry Marrs, who has performed with many great artists, including Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings and Johnny Cash. The producers were honored and thrilled to be part of these historical projects. These long-forgotten recordings are now saved for prosperity.
