REACTION:
LINDSAY ELL EARNS FOUR 2019 CCMA AWARD NOMINATIONS
"Sometimes you work so hard for so long you lose sight of the importance of recognition from your peers," said Lindsay Ell. "This morning, getting to announce the CCMA nominees and receiving four nominations, I was reminded how incredible it is to be recognized and be given the opportunity to celebrate with an industry that has supported me from the beginning. It means even more that CCMA Awards are in my hometown this year which means that September is going to be so special. I cannot wait!!!"
Ell has garnered international attention touring across the US and UK, opening the stage for major country acts including Luke Bryan, Brad Paisley, Sugarland and Keith Urban. She also joined Bryan on stage at this past year's CMA Awards before heading out across the US on her first headlining tour. The 2019 CCMA nominee is currently on tour, making stops at both Big Valley Jamboree and Country Thunder before heading to Calgary in September. With "What Happens in a Small Town," her latest single with Brantley Gilbert, still climbing the charts, Ell has hit over 100 million career streams. The rising Canadian country star continues to amaze wherever she goes.

The five nominations add to the list of many achievements for the reigning CCMA Interactive Artist of the Year. In early 2019, Kissel was awarded the Juno award (equivalent to a GRAMMY) for Country Album of the Year for his album, We Were That Song, making it the second Juno win for Kissel, who won in 2014 for Breakthrough Artist of the Year.

He was the first country artist to take home the title in 17 years (since Shania Twain). Among his other accolades are he was named the International Artist of the Year at the 2017 Worldwide Radio Summit in Hollywood, CA (an honor bestowed upon Ed Sheeran and Adele in the last two years respectively). He is the 2017 and 2018 Canadian Country Music Awards’ Male Vocalist of the Year, 4x Winner at the 2016 CCMA Awards, 12x Billboard Canadian Top 10 Singles chart, and more.
