NASHVILLE, TN. – Pearl
Clarkin grew
up on Santa Rosa Island, Florida and is paying homage to her favorite place:
the beach. The fun spirited song, “Girls of
Summer” was written by Pearl and produced by Bill McDermott,
with lyrics based on her girlfriends and their "glory days" when they
were carefree on the island sashaying around like beauty queens. The single,
released to radio late Spring continues to climb the Music Row Breakout Chart
and will be available for streaming and download on all digital platforms in
the near future.

Pearl is currently enrolled in Belmont University as a senior with a Major in songwriting and has penned songs with writing giants, such as Keith Follessee, who co-wrote her song "Coming In Hot" that is planned to be her next single release. She has opened for Country music artists Charlie Daniels, Michael Ray, Montgomery Gentry, and Jake Owen and more.

At
the age of 12, she was honored to be chosen for an American Idol camp. It was
there she got her first taste of the business, when Macy Gray joined the camp
as a special guest and took an interest in Pearl’s natural ability to write and
tell stories.
Now,
well known among Nashville’s tight inner circles, Pearl has participated in
Summerfest, CMA Fest, Storme Warren’s Nashville Navy, the “NASH 10 Minute Tune”
on “The Ty Bentli Show” and often performs in writer’s rounds on famous stages
like The Commodore and Bluebird Café.
She
is currently in the Top 10 in the NASH NEXT national competition, hosted
by Big Machine Label Group and Cumulus Media at the Wildhorse Saloon in Music
City.
