His first regular studio album since High Hopes, it

All of these souls she carries into her intimate but powerful live performance, an explosive cocktail tinged with a God given natural humour. It’s fair to say Carly wears her heart on her sleeve and is honest to the core, staying forever true to her roots.

Raised in Glasgow’s tough housing scheme of Easterhouse,

playing tiny working men's pubs and clubs, not unlike some of the great
Glaswegians before her such as Maggie Bell, Frankie Miller, Lulu and her

Having been described as ‘a Scottish Amy Winehouse in

Mairead is a modern country singer-songwriter who was
born and raised in Country Tyrone, Northern Ireland where Irish folk and
Country music was always a huge part of her culture and family life. Mairead
has a love for Irish / American Folk and Country music. She takes inspiration
from artists such as Christy Moore, Cara Dillion, Mary Black, Leanne Rimes,
Miranda Lambert and Randy Travis. Her Irish folk twist on modern country music
is what sets her apart from other artists in the current market. Mairead moved
to London a few years ago and has been working hard creating her debut album.
Belles and Gals - Just last month we named Máiréad as one
of the three new Belles and Gals ambassadors and today we’re delighted to
feature her new single ‘Searching For Ghosts’. The track is simply fantastic,
showcasing both the incredible vocals of the Irish singer songwriter and the
songwriting ability.
I’ve grown up on Irish/Celtic music. I love artists
like Mary Black, Enya, Cara Dillon and Cristy Moore. I absolutely love Carrie
Underwood and LeAnn Rimes. I’ve actually been described as an Irish LeAnn Rimes
quite a few times before which I am super happy about! It’s the story telling
and raw emotion in country music that just pulls me in.

Queensland, Blake Benecke found his passion for music at a young age when he
began songwriting and playing the guitar. Blake initially performed at local
pubs and restaurants and his career took to new heights when he opened at the

for storytelling is strongly evident in his songwriting.
After releasing his second single ‘Hopeless’ in
February this year Blake now releases his very earnest 3rd single ‘Low on
Money (High on Life)’. Blake intimates ...“I wrote this song while
reminiscing about a time in my life when I was very happy. I had just left
school and moved into a share house on a farm with 2 of my best mates, I had
nothing. Well nothing in my bank account, but I really had everything. Proving
money doesn't buy happiness, all we needed was good times, good mates and a bit
of booze”. The song is available on iTunes.

(20 June 2019) New Study Finds Millennials Are
'The Biggest Audio Generation'
The audio landscape is exploding and over the last two
years there has been huge growth across various audio categories including a 2500%
growth in smart speaker ownership and more than 48% increase in podcast
listening, according to the EDISON INFINITE DIAL 2019 study. And today IPSOS
released a new research study commissioned by iHEARTMEDIA - “Day in the life
Audio Journey” - demonstrating that consumer interest in audio is now at an
all-time high, with listeners enjoying more audio content across a vast array
of platforms including broadcast radio, digital streaming, podcasts and smart
speakers.
The study explores daily audio usage and habits of
Americans ranging from 13 to 64 years old and captures when, where and how
these various generations are consuming their favorite audio.
The study highlights that radio continues to reach
more people than any other media both daily and weekly. On a weekly basis, broadcast
radio reaches 85% of consumers, surpassing all other audio channels
including social media (68%) and live television (56 percent). The research
also showed that radio has two times the daily listening of streaming services,
reaching 69% of consumers compared to streaming music’s 34 percent.
The study also explores where and when people listen
and shows that audio listening is most often done on-the-go, with 65% done
outside the home and most often in the car, with radio accounting for 65% of
in-vehicle audio listening. Radio also serves as a companion throughout the
day; it leads media use 70% of waking hours and is the most used audio platform
all day, and at all hours. The research additionally shows that the rise of
smart speakers has made radio more prominent than ever in the home, uncovering
that homes with smart speakers have spent 47 percent more time listening to
radio during prime hours (8-10pm) than those listeners without.

for “Girl At The Bar”
Following the
release of “Girl At The Bar,” the focal track from her
forthcoming EP, Kelsey Lamb released the official music video for the heartbreak
song (view here). Directed by Logen Christopher and produced by Stormlight
Productions, the music video illustrates the aftermath of a breakup as a
heartbroken Kelsey Lamb fixates on the on-screen couple Charlie Evischi and
Erika Raen. The production, filmed over the course of one day, was filmed at
Mickey’s Tavern in East Nashville. “The filming process was so much fun, I had
a few of my friends in this video and it was cool to see the vision of this
song come to life with the people who know me so well,” commented Lamb.
This single is Lamb’s most vulnerable song to date. “Girl
at the Bar” illustrates how Lamb has dealt with her previous heartbreaks. “I
get so frustrated with the way I handle heartbreak. I don’t wear pain on my
sleeve, I am the person that puts on a happy face and powers through like
nothing ever happened,” explains Lamb. “The vision behind this video was to
really capture the idea of what could have happened if I had chosen to be ‘the
girl at the bar,’ said Lamb of the new music video.

appearance at the Country LakeShake Festival in Chicago after getting into a

The "Goodbye Summer" singer turned to
Instagram to share the
news on Saturday morning, writing, "Devastated to not be able to get to
Lakeshake Fest today. See you all soon."
"I'm so bummed I'm going to miss out on all the
fun in Chicago today," she added. "I was in a car accident on my
way to the airport, however I'm o.k. Getting checked out now and going to get
some rest."

R.I.P
(21 June 2019) BILL CARRUTHERS, 1952-2019
Tributes, memorials and memories continue to flow upon
the news of the passing yesterday of Bill
Carruthers at the age of 67. Less
than three weeks ago, he had celebrated his birthday and a few times in the
past few weeks, he would post photos of an early evening backyard fire and
close the post with three words: "life is good."
An award-winning drummer - he was named the Canadian
Country Music Association's Drummer of the Year for four consecutive years
(1990-1993) - he was also part of South Mountain, the super-group of musicians
who were named winners of the CCMA Rising Star award. And he played those drums
backing most of the biggest stars in Canadian country music at one time or
another, and for some legendary American country artists. Bill was even nominated
Country Person of the Year and Record Company Person of the Year, an indication
of how well-thought of he was in the industry. And soon after he helped get
Casino Rama off the ground (he booked Faith Hill as their opening act), he was
even nominated for Talent Buyer/Promoter of the Year.
