(24 Sept 2019) Hey Fella Yeah Man! Raised On It American PODCAST with Danny McMahon:
Danny; "I listen to call the modern chart stuff over here. I make my living as a country artist effectively off live shows as people just what that now"
"Most of the time in POP these days it's about the melody and the hook and the lyrics are an afterthought. That's when I came into country music I started realising MAN! the lyrical content of this stuff is next level and that is the bit I had to work on again and again as that was the newest part to me. I can write hooks and melodies all day but in terms of finding a story and running theme that people can relate to every single time that's definitely the hardest thing to tap into" Listen back on Soundcloud

Full of lush, sweeping arrangements and deeply vulnerable self-examination, Desert Dove is Michaela’s most expansive work yet. The album, produced by Sam Outlaw and Delta Spirit’s Kelly Winrich, is still very much rooted in the classic country she’s come to be known for - but the record represents something of a sonic shift for Michaela, incorporating more modern production elements than ever before in pursuit of a sound that owes as much influence to indie rock as honky tonk.

(27 Sept 2019) Jason Aldean Reveals His Hand For Song-Led Album 9 - Out Nov. 22
ACM “Artist of the Decade” Jason Aldean has followed his own time-tested formula for over a decade and he’s not one to second guess that as he reveals more details behind his next effort 9 (Macon Music/Broken Bow Records), to be released Nov. 22.
Aldean offers 16 interwoven tracks in an era of stand-alone singles and superstar EPs, holding his ground for the modern album with an old-school soul. It’s packed with the kind of blistering stadium anthems and cross-pollinated convention busters his audience has come to know and love, all rooted in the obvious traditional influence Aldean has carried throughout his career. Available now for pre-order at all digital retailers, today fans have access to another new track “Dirt We Were Raised On,” along with the four previously released songs off the upcoming album here, including its lead single “We Back."
People buy albums with eight songs for 10 bucks now, but with 9 it’s like you’re getting two whole albums at once,” Aldean said. “I want fans to feel like they’re getting more than they bargained for and I want it to be something they listen to from top to bottom, and never hit skip…or thumbs down or whatever.”
For 9, Aldean's ninth studio project, the multi-Platinum artist's drive to push his creative envelope is still there and his preference for long-playing albums leaves plenty of opportunity. The songs themselves lead the way as so much of 9's sound goes back to longtime songwriting contributors like Neil Thrasher, Josh Thompson, Brantley Gilbert and Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard, among others. The rest reveals itself in the studio, with Aldean directing traffic alongside producer Michael Knox – Nashville outliers who insist on recording with his touring players.

(27 Sept 2019) Allie Colleen Released New Single, “Along The Way,” Available Now On All Digital Platforms

“Along The Way,” a new single co-written with Stephen McMorran and Belmont University graduate, Allie Colleen, is available for streaming and download on all digital platforms here.
"This song was inspired by my best friend, Emily, and was inspired by our distance and what it is like to love someone who you know needs to leave and grow up and explore," shared Allie Colleen. "We hope it encourages you to do some exploration of your own, we hope that you go out and you find all there is to find, and we hope that after all that, you realize that what you had before is worth coming back to. This song is about the courage to look for more and at the end of the day be happy with settling down with the one you love."
"The songs about loving someone without trying to control him or her. It’s about how love feels vulnerable and unconditional," co-writer, Stephen McMorran. "This is one of those songs open to interpretation by the listener as it applies to them." Along the Way is all about loving a traveler, someone with an old soul, and a love for explanation.  It is saying yes to the unknowns and focusing on the one thing that brings you together (love) opposed to the hundreds of things that could tear you apart.

REVIEWS
(24 Sept 2019) Review: About Last Night: Joe Nichols on a Boat in Bristol Brits in Boots why it possibly the worst choice of venue for him!
We didn’t dare tell Joe the ship we were standing on had just come out of the dry dock where it had undergone three months of repairs. But it meant that his usually emotional song Impossible unleashed amused / nervous giggles from all of us as he sang the refrain. Bravely, he had chosen not to have any sort of set-list. Instead, he opted to take requests for the whole night which he quickly discovered was a riskier than usual thing to attempt with U.K. audiences. For, while in America he can probably predict the big hits the crowd will demand, here we weren’t too sure which his big radio hits had been. His first albums were released before Chris Country Radio graced our airwaves and you could see Joe’s initial surprise when we began to call out long-forgotten album cuts. He handled it with the charm and humour that dominated the night. … Read More britsinboots.com

(24 Sept 2019) Lil Nas X is 'somewhat' dating
The 'Old Town Road' hitmaker - who came out as gay earlier this year - has suggested he is in a relationship, but stayed coy on the details.
Asked if he is dating anyone, he replied: "Somewhat."
The 29-year-old singer admitted he had previously worried about how his loved ones would react to his sexuality but now he's on a "new level", other people's attitudes didn't "matter" any more.
Asked why he decided to speak out, he told talk show host Ellen DeGeneres: "Just knowing it was something that I should have [already] done.
"But I was [previously] in a position where I had to worry about family and friends and how they would react. But in the past year, I'm on a new level, so it doesn't really matter, I guess."
And Nas - who admitted he only gave his father and sister a "heads up" about his sexuality a month before he came out publicly - hopes he can reassure other young people who are coming to terms with their own sexuality.
He added: "And, also just how it would be good for the youngins listening to me right now, who are going to have to go through stuff like this in the future, to know that it's all right."
