Michael Hayes Releases "Rebel
Heart" To Texas
Radio
Debuting
Single on TV Show "Thursday Night Texas" July 7th
Extended Press Release
(Coweta, Okla.) -- Wesley Michael Hayes is pleased to announce that "Rebel Heart," the second single from his EP BENT, is at radio and going for adds now.
A follow up to his debut, "Love In Pictures," the new single is available through CD Tex and is being promoted by Shawn Peacock of Edge Events.
Hayes is debuting the single on July 7th at Vern's in Onalaska, Texas (14270 US-190, Onalaska, TX 77360) during a live taping of the pilot episode of the new TV show, "Thursday Night Texas w/Jordan Phillips," a production of Texas KEG.

"I wrote 'Rebel Heart' for all the women out there who have been wild, want to be wild or are still wild," Hayes said. "That free spirit of a woman who can't be kept down was present in a lot of the women I have met in my life. They can bear the pain of motherhood yet still be as delicate as a flower and as wild as a mustang. To me, this is a 'keep fighting' anthem and my way to pay tribute to the women of the world."
A high energy
tune that captures the attention of the fans right away, the feedback for the
song is always female driven with a lot of positive comments.
A newcomer on the Texas Country
scene, Hayes is
a true holder of the title "Okie from Muskogee." Growing up
a country boy with a passion for sports and music, he is a self-described
"underdog who loves going against the grain and doing things that others
are afraid to do."

Enduring an emotional and unstable youth after his parents split up, his grandfather passed (the man he considered his "source of stability") when he was 11, and the loss of an infant son when he was 27, Hayes' life contains all the trappings of a true country song. After many years of grief and rage that resulted in "wearing the silver bracelets for drinkin' and fightin' and all the things outlaws are known to do," Hayes settled down and music became his top priority.
With a release date planned for
later this summer, Hayes' newest project, BENT,
is a six-song collection of original music that serves as an ode to the
human condition. Showcasing a deep tenor that reminds many of Jamey Johnson, Hayes is counting on his traditional sound
and style to resonate with those looking for realism and raw honesty.
